I don't care if Ashiz brought it up or your mother for that matter, you responded accordingly so there's no difference between you or Ashiz.

If he told us Ortiz and Guerrero were competitive fights without smirking then he shouldn't have any problems with this fight.

ok let's go back to the topic for a bit.

im thinking, the showtime guys, since they are the ones guaranteeing floyd's money, somehow they cant convince themselves this fight will cover their expenses?

my thinking is, this fight is a hard sell in the u.s. considering american audience are pretty much aware of khan's exploits in the ring in recent years. so, i feel, american viewers are aware this is not a competitive match but, there are also floyd hardcore fans. however, im pretty sure, their numbers alone wont cover mayweather's minimum wage.

so, it is up to the khan's side to prop up the ppv buys. notice khan's recent comments about billions of people in asia (india, ****stan mainly) who are potential buyers of this fight. but where were these fans when he was campaigning in u.k. and the u.s.?

seems like the brits are on the fence, indecisive, skeptical.

khan's brit fans (and his other fans) are different from the hatton fans in a way that even though ricky's fans knew rickiy is at a disadvantage, they still went with ricky just to show support.

i really hope showtime overestimate khan's ability to sell this fight so then they will no choice but to go after the pac fight in the succeeding match for floyd, very much like, from guerrero to canelo fights.

and also, anyone has an insight on how ppv works in the u.k.? u.k. cable operators gonna pay showtime so they distribute it? or they just get a slice of the pie?

i assume there will be uk companies who are gonna put their logos/ pimp their products in some ways in this fight and the absence or low turn out is keeping showtime to fully commit to the fight for now?

I thinknthey are testing the waters because they know this fight is a sham. Having Khans name out there for a few months without officially announcing it gets the public to slowly accept it so when they do announce it, it wont be a shock. These mofos know about human psychology ans how to sell a fight

I think this is it. If they just announced the fight aout of nowhere, there would be uproar and the PPV would bomb. But they're slowly leaked it out and discussions are already taking place about this fight all over the internet so Showtime don't have to worry about a fans backlash.

Still, no chance in hell I'm buying this ****.

people who follow the sport not only wont pay to watch it, they will tell anyone who cares to listen how crap the fight is.

last time i check, they are a business, not charity.

they are not going in meetings thinking how to break even.

cbs isnt going to subsidize floyd's fights.

showtime has a boixing budget and the one that decided to use it on floyd better make sure his plan net them a profit else he will be in the charity business next time.
