Pacquiao says the whole tax thing is a misunderstanding. He claims that the IRS comes to his fights, and that Bob gives them the money. Pacquiao also claims that people are trying to destroy his image. Koncz claims that too many deduction claims are the reason for and $18MM tax bill. Koncz says they will end up owing significantly less.

 

BIG BUSINESS, It is headline news right? why are you crying now, freddie was proven right. what is there to debate?

 

This is why Arum and the other leeches are the true ruin of boxing.

1. They organise the fights that suit their investment. Do you want to send your boxer out to a potentially risky fan friendly fight, or to an easy pay day whilst padding the win column, as an investment for a future pay day.
2. Convince their boxer that they deserve a huge cut of the money. Do you really believe that when Manny gets 20 million for a fight, his promoter doesn't get a huge percentage. That 20 might be 5 million after tax and the promoters cut.

The game needs to be run by a much better organising body. Get rid of promoters, have a fixed fee to organise PPV between the two best boxers. One boxer earning 50 million a fight while another earns 1 million for the same fight is bad for the sport.

No it doesn't but that isn't the reason people say he is broke. He is what my parents use to say, "rich man broke." When it's all said and done he will be fighting well last his best days just to earn money.
