Castillo remember him best, from the Featherweight days back in Mexico Javier was the 2nd man to stop him after future featherweight champion Cesar Soto, another guy from those days was Salvadorian Jesus Chavez, future champion, who beat Levander Johnson in his first and last title defense on the belt he won by fighting Javier At his youth he was similar to PDL, losing as he aged and moved up divisions 20 years of real wars, with no padding & cherrypicking. He gets to die at the age of 40, RIP Javier Jauregui :bbb
Oh ****. That is young. Very respectable fighter. He fought very well even as his career wound down. He upset Mora & Huerta. Peterson vs. Jauregui was clear but no shutout. Kid Diamond only just squeaked by. Perhaps Jauregui's biggest latter-days contribution? He made Provodnikov a star in just half an hour. (Ruslan had already competed on ESPN2 FNF undercards several times and made his American TV debut way back in May 2008, but his first time ever co-headlining was versus Jauregui and that performance turned a lot of heads - not least of which because El Chatito put up a game and gallant effort to make Provodnikov's chiseling him down even more impressive)
Javier career is interesting, because he fought with guys who became top contenders and champions later in life. want to watch his featherweight fights vs Castillo 1&2, if anybody has that footage, a youtube tribute will be nice His name connects to Corrales & Levander Johnson...both tragic endings
I know that dummy but I didn't know mexican was a race thats defo the first time youve ever said anything even satisfactory about a white boxer, you are racist you should be banned :ban
Well, you're 83-91% right, but not 100%.... :think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Ethnicity_in_Mexico
