That's part of the point, Lucas was fighting like a man possesed early and winning. He was not boxing, Danny's patient boxing allowed him to land some hard shots in moments and slow Lucas. Lucas gets made to box and Danny says ok, now I can focus even more on landing hard shots...which leads to the swelling. So, Lucas boxes from the beginning and Danny will have more opportunity to look for big shots as he has less to worry about. Add to that the time it adds for Danny to get Lucas's timing down, and I see it easier, just my opinion. I believe I seen everything I needed to in that fight, the outcome could be different but, I highly doubt it. Danny is just more skillful and has a pretty clear step on Lucas's ability from what I see.
Lucas won many skirmishes but lost every major battle and ultimately the war. It was Danny who made Lucas adjust to what he was doing, while Lucas had the bigger guns, he did not have the bigger brains. Danny out strategized him because as we know, most highly competitive wars comes down to strategy.
I don't want to see this fight again. Danny won plain and simple, move on. If a 2nd bout does come, don't make it back to back.

its clear as day, the glove rakes the eye and swells immediately....but you say its some punches earlier that did it when the video SHOWS how it happens. Its like when that poster made the video of the 20 low blows, clear as day. and people tried to spin in how they werent low..wtf the video was right there . The video actually does show the exact moment of swelling. What the video does show is matthysse comes in, rubs his face on garcias raised glove, and his eye immedietely swells. A logical assumption is his eye was raked/thumbed. Honestly, how is that a punch?
Take it from someone with 20 years in martial arts, only concussive force causes that type of swelling. A thumb raking an eye doesn't cause it to swell shut like that. Never. It's concussive force. Blunt force trauma. Plan and simple. Matthysse got caught. It happens. Making lame excuses for him only makes you look desperate.
