****, that came outta nowhere. :think

Fonfara is probably too slow (and that giraffe neck is begging for a decapitating long lead left), but if he detonates just one bomb on Stevenson's chin... :think

i dont think lack of speed is his problem.
he got good offensive skills, likes throwing combos, good right hand and left hook, and very good jab..its the defense that is quite terrible.
no head movement,no bending in waist..all he does is keep his guard up...and clever boxer can easily find his way between his gloves or using uppercut.
anyway..glad he got his chance..hes a nice kid

That is more what I was getting at - slowness of defensive reactions. Stevenson will play the sniper role from safety like he prefers to do and Fonfara won't be able to keep those hard quick left hands out with just the fixed-in-place high guard...and if he drops it for even a second he won't be able to raise it back up in time before the shot has landed. (which is too late...)

u might be right...i like Fonfara when hes in offensive...1-1-2,nice combos, constant long jabbing ...but when someone back him up,he cant fight back foot.he just cover up ,blinds himself with gloves.and stands there until opponent finishes..kinda painful to watch..maybe hes too slow footwork, cant get out and keep long distance
    nice...cant wait.
what hes chances u think? in percentage?

Yeah, even in the rubbish Google translate it comes accross fine...he'd like Hopkins but can't cos of the cold war, Stevensons got the bigger promoter and more fans, Kovalev may be the hardest fight but ain't worth as much. Least the kid's honest bout it.

Damn tho, I was really hoping Duva's idea with Kovalev fighting Fonfara and Adamek vs (hmm.. forget right now - TBA) in Chi town would come off.

That said, I'm really surprised GYM ain't looking at the Pascal - Bute winner for the next Stevenson fight.

Well, let's wait'n'see, I heard these kinda pre-emptive announcements before, based on just preliminary feelers being sent out.

Hard to say...if he can bum-rush Stevenson and impose his offense early there is a chance...

He will probably be at least a 9/2 underdog (in the same neighborhood as Bellew if not longer)

should be Pascal/bute winner or get revenge for those two by beating up the old man or Beating the crap out of Froch
