Yeah. Stevenson is gonna jack him up like a rock em sock em robot. Early too, I reckon.

Shrewd matchmaking move. Fonfara's not a bad fighter or anything, but stylistically, a quick sniper like Stevenson shouldn't have issues finding his chin early and making him look worse than he is.

That's a double whammy against Kovalev. Fonfara was his backup opponent for when Stevenson ducked him.

Well there's always a German fight with Braehmer perhaps? Otherwise recycle Chad Dawson one last time or perhaps the winner/loser of Bute/Pascal (which I thought Stevenson would've been more interested in).

    Great fight and opponent.

Fonfara has put together 2 or 3 good wins lately so deserves a title shot unlike so many Challengers nowadays.

If Stevenson keeps facing and beating Top 10 Opposition like this then people have to seriously consider him as a Top 10 P4P fighter soon.

Yeah. Don't know that I like it though. Kovalev called him out on his home turf, with him in the building, and he not only avoided the issue, but threw out to other guys. Now, 2 weeks later, we get Fonfara?? Dust has hardly settled. Plenty of time to explore better options.

    Great points. :thumbsup

Can't say I'm a big fan of it myself given the circumstances. Perhaps the point is for each man to have one more showcase fight before fighting each other. :think

Now I find myself in the loathsome position of either rooting for Fonfara, in which case we not only don't get Kovalev-Stevenson, but we possibly get Kovalev-Fonfara, in which case, I find it highly likely I will be arriving in RBR on the ass end of the nick of time(don't know why that always seems to happen to me), as they are administering the smelling salts to Fonfara (take a breath) OR rooting for Stevenson to win so as to make it more likely, but not cinch, Kovalev-Stevenson. Because, let's face it. If Stevenson ain't interested under those circumstances, what's he gonna be like after Kovalev has gathered more steam?

If Stevenson gets Fonfara tho, the only showcase left is the Bute - Pascal winner for Kovalev, unless he's gonna drop down to Alvarez perhaps.

It'd be a damn shame if Krusher gets sidelined.

I don't anticipate Fonfara winning but it could be interesting if he does the same thing Nigel Crumpet did, or whatever his name was, I don't think Fonfara is as hard punching as what he is supposed to be, but still, he probably hits harder than Stevenson's most recent opponent.

not a bad fight. undercard of pac fight i assume that would be unlike top rank putting together an awsome co main even like that.

now kovalev needs to find an opponent. i hope he fight bute/pascal winner

How is Fonfara a bigger money fight than kovalev? And where does this leave Kovalev? Lame ass Hopkins is not going to fight him and the winner of Bute/Pascal will not be ready until the summer. If Bute actually wins he may not fight again until 2015 with his injury issues.

Watch all the trash who **** on Golovkin defend what Stevenson is doing.

maybe but andre having problems with goosen or sumthing. but i wouldnt like the catchweight if andre just moved up that would be ideal.
