    Crawford couldn't stop Klimov, so why act like Crawford is the next big thing?

    There is no big hype with Burns, it's just a counter-attack to the Crawford hype, which I personally don't see

    Klimov is a tough ******* who tends to utilize a more defensive style than Burns and who wasn't taking any sort of risk once Crawford switched southpaw. I wouldn't read too much into that result, either way.

    You think Klimov is more defensively sound than Burns? He isn't, and as you say, he is nowhere near as offensively minded either


    Klimov is tough? remember Burns in his last fight fought the last ten against Beltran with a detached jaw,regardless of the result, and had to have a plate put in after, hell, we werent sure if he would ever fight again, now here he is ready to fight Crawford

    THAT is tough

    Shame on those of you who said Ricky Burns was a second rate ducker, and don't forget, he was more than willing to give Beltran the rematch, hell, he WANTED that fight. But if it has to be Terence Crawford, so be it

    I mean, yeah, the Idea of Burns being favourite against Crawford is a joke to some people, yet Burns has already KO'd a guy who has emulated (IMO surpassed) Crawfords best wins :D :lol:

    Crawford is overrated a bit on here, but burns has no chance, I've watch his last few fights and I can't believe he holds a belt.

    Klimov is more defensive in terms of approach, and tends to take fewer clean shots than Ricky simply because he isn't as aggressive as Burns. Not saying Burns' D is porous (though it certainly wasn't as sound in his last two fights than it was before then), but he takes more chances and leaves himself open as a result.

    Plus, Klimov did take some hard punches from the heavy handed Molina when they fought and while he busted up a little, he didn't go anywhere. Getting Klimov out of there is therefore easier said than done.

    All that said, good for Burns for taking on another tough challenger coming off the heels of Beltran. Win or lose, there's no doubt that he'll give it as good a go as is humanly possible. :good

    I think Klimov was falling all over the place when Molina started to land on him, I think Molina lost that fight more than Klimov won it

    but the story was, that gave him a nice 16-0 record yet he was clearly there for the taking, like somebody on this very forum said: Why not match him with a good Russian like Shafikov instead of a basic Russian like Klimov waiting to be taken?


    Because it looks good on Crawfords record if he beats a 16-0 Russian
