Groves controlled the jab exchanges in his last fight for example.

best mental - Buchanan - 2nd2nunn
Greatest skill - Herol Graham -unreal defensive ability, sure was some reverse psychology in play calling him 'The Bomber'
best puncher - Benn/Naz -nuff said
Best chin - Froch/Eubank -can eat shots forever, its what kept them in fights against superior opps.
Highest athleticism/fitness - Joe Calzaghe -can literally keep moving forever, would have made a runner.
Highest achiever -Lennox obviously

Interesting on who has a better chin, Eubank or Froch. But has Froch been hit by a bigger puncher than Benn? Punching power will go to Naz p4p. Lewis was an all round great fighter.

 

Eubank fought nothing but nobodies all through his career its hard to say how good his chin is.

 

He fought Nigel Benn twice who at the time was considered one of the best punchers in the division

Steve Collins,Carl Thompson and Joe Calzaghe are the only decent names on Chris Eubanks record besides Benn and he lost to all three of them.

I like Chris Eubank but he was highly protected and rarely went out of his comfort zone to test himself against the best fighters in the division.

You cant compare him to Froch.

 

I agree he was highly protected, be he always admitted that. He was in it for the money and thats it.

As for the loses mentioned you do know the circumstances around some of those fights don't you?? A simple statement of a lose is doing them a dis-service.

Even Joe C admitted Eubank was his hardest fight

 

Calzaghe only had 20 fights or so when he fought Eubank,he was domestic level at the time so of course it was going to be his toughest fight,fortunately for him Eubank was well past it,Calzaghe then went on to fight 15 fringe contenders as a world champion and milked his title.He wasnt exactly fighting world beaters himself so its no surprise he said Eubank was his toughest fight.
