your a ****ing moron. how u gonna say loma is exciting to watch when he has 1 fight??? your a ****ing fan boy that dksab!! rigo knocked out 6 of his 1st 7 fights. stop bieng a dumbass and following haters and think for yaself kid.
Lomachenko will be fighting Salido for a world championship in only his 2nd fight. Lomachenko will beat Rigo when the time comes..........
The new boxer/destroyer styles from Eastern Europe may be the answer to slick and black. Guys like Golovkin, Kovalev, and Loma are making sure that they control the fight. Its a hard style to box or run from, and you can't bank on winning a shootout with the firepower they bring. Guys like Ward, Mayweather, and Rigo, all the sudden look very vulnerable. The style of these guys is far more impressive to watch also, which makes the future of the sport look a lot more promising.
I agree that guys like GGG, Kovalev, and Lomachenko who are powerful with very disciplined technique and skills bring a good fight to the table against the slick, defensive boxers, but don't write off the defensive guys. GGG is one of my favorite fighters, but I am also a very objective analyst for odds and gambling. I would probably favor Ward and Mayweather against GGG, favor Ward against Kovalev, and favor Lomachenko against Rigondeaux. They would all be excellent fights and at the end of the day, the odds would be vary narrow--perhaps too narrow to make a play on because the W could go either way. I will agree GGG, Kovalev, and Lomachenko are more reliably fun to watch, but against a GGG, Kovalev, or Lomachenko, the slick defensive guys are fun to watch, too. It takes a good, aggressive opponent to make the defensive guys' fights fun. Against someone lame like Agbeko, or anyone afraid to bring the fight, the defensive guys can be a snooze.
Eastern Europeans are injecting so much life into boxing. Such a welcome break from same old status quo.
This is kinda where we're at right now. There's been an influx of talent from the Ex-soviets who are both technically skilled and offensive in style (largely as a result of the amateur programs where offense was a winning scoring strategy), but as yet, we've yet to see any major match-ups where the top new fighters have encountered their top flight defensive slickster counterparts. I think, down the line there is some fantastic fights to be made, but if there is a distillation of them, it'll be this one. My only real caveat is that Loma needs some more pro seasoning before he fights Rigo.
True, but I doubt Loma needs much more experience for Rigo considering Rigo uses his amateur style in the pros. Loma is bigger, stronger and more aggressive, it will suit the judges well.
Rigondeaux only lost 1 extremely tight bout in 10 years and was regarded as the World's best amateur fighter. He lost 14-12 but later avenged that loss by easily winning and leaving no doubt who was the best between the two. His other losses happened when he was starting out in Cuba as a young boxer. :hey
i see flaws in lomanchenkos foot work that i believe rigondeaux will exploit. he's very explosive and dangerous. its going to be a great fight.
