How much credit should Broner get for stopping Maidana?

considering that it's never done before, he should get tons of credit and probably be in or just outside of the top 10.

 

It would be huge considering he couldn't stop Paulie.

Of course people will cry PED if he does. Interesting fight, but I look at it as Broners fight to lose.

 

I think the question is: How humble will Broner be after he gets stopped?

 

Broner wakes up and asks "Daddy, is my hair still in place?"

 

If Broner stands and trades this will be the result in my opinion. I think he'll fight a bit more scurred and win on points.

 

Unfortunately for him, that is exactly what he will do

a win is all that matters. but i think broner will get the tko late. i think hes going to work marco's body like no other. but i dont think broner has to play the rock em sock em game. i think he should mix it up. fight marcos on the inside and outside, working the body more then the head. hard counters to the head the follow up to the body. it's broner fights to win how he does it is up to him. but still think it will be good fight and test for broner.

 

I can see a broner stoppage. A lot of people are sitting here saying "BUT HE COULDN'T STOP PAULIE"... Paulie is a lot harder to hit, we've seen other quick fighters struggle to find his chin, he also has a good chin and I believe he did get hurt a bit on a few occasions but was never in danger.

We could see what I like to call the "manny pacquiao effect" when a fighter moves up in weight they get more KO's because targets are more stationary and its easier to find the button. I personally wouldn't bet on a KO but I think its safe to say Broner has this fight, has every advantage, from the physical to the politics.

 

I'd have to agree with this. It'll takes a special fighter to beat someone like Maidana into submission.

 

If he stops Maidana hopefully the hype threads stop...I reckon Maidana has his number....awesome fight cant wait

 

Broner does not have to fight Maidana, all he has to do is be standing at the end of the fight. After seeing the bad decision tonight on Fox sports I am beginning to believe that boxing is crooked as a dog's hind leg, even more so than I though..............TV wants their fighter to win and that fighter is Broner. Remember, the promoters, boxing orgs, networks, etc. appear to believe that all boxing fans are extremely stupid and can be manipulated..........

 

I'd be very very impressed if he's able stop Maidana.
