pac fought Margarito at a weight disadvantage. I know Floyd is an atg and admire his skill but like someone said Canelos not the barometer

Pac fought Clottey coming off a loss.

Margarito was a punching bag ala' Rios that already got smashed by Mosely.

Clottey was coming off a loss.
Margarito was coming off a loss, and a suspension, and had never won anything over 147 pounds. (If you want to count his win over a journeyman fighter as an indication Margarito was still on top, whatever.)

Both Clottey and Margarito would lose to Canelo at 154 pounds, and it wouldn't even be close. Making the comparison as you did is a joke.

Its funny how now people say, Canelo is a bum, Canelo never could have beat floyd, he was to green....where was all this talk back before the fight took place when people thought Canelo had a legit chance and thought floyd would duck him? Now that floyd beat him, his victory isnt credible and Canelo isnt a top guy now? Right now, it doesnt matter who floyd fights to me....people will keep syin the same thing after he schools them....if he fights and beats pacquaio, people will say " Pac was past his prime", " Pac wasnt focused, he was worried about the IRS", " He should have fought him in 2009"...imma boxin fan not just a floyd fan...and i thought canelo was a good opponent and would have given floyd a hungrier effot tbh

the fight between Floyd and pac should have happened 4 years ago, but even if Floyd fights and beats pac now, its worth a whole lot more than not fighting him at all

saying "right now, it doesn't matter who Floyd fights to me" is ignoring that golden carrot that ticks a box both fighters need

This. I like Canelo and I like the way he fought Mayweather even though he lost Mayweather didn't "kick his azz" "beat his azz" or anything the haters would tell you.

I know Canelo is alot better than what he showed in the Mayweather fight.

I expect all the haters to jump on Canelo's ship once he dismantles Cotto in March.

cotto's a little man moving up who has been in some good fights but his resume is like Oscar's
at least canelo is fighting quality opponents now. he's young, so nobody will judge his padded record to date if he stays on track

36 year old Floyd made Canelo look like he is the one that's slow and shot.

I agree he really is that good. You can see that canelo is a skilled fighter but at times floyd was making him look very ordinary. Floyd Mayweather is going to continue dominating fighters for as long as his body holds up and given that he is obsessively dedicated to his craft and making money his reign will be long. People think BHOP is great with his longevity but Floyd is superior to BHOP in every way. Floyds best attribute is clearly his ring IQ. He can fight any type of fight he wants with great skill. Even great fighters like BHOP and pacquiao have weaknesses but Floyd doesn't. When floyd fights the question is not whether the opponent can win but whether someone can even hang with floyd for more than a round or two.

Canelo was made to look ordinary by a far superior boxer. From a skills standpoint canelo had nothing to best floyd with.
