How much credit should Broner get for stopping Maidana?

seeing that it was Roberts fighter(Rios) who just tested positive for PEDs, i imagine that Maidana is the one that would be suspect in this fight..

Maidana almost got stopped by Lopez last time out. It's tough to say just what he has left. He's been hot then cold in fights, but still has that power. If Broner does stop him it will be on a cut or something.

 

It would definitely make him one of the best currently active fighters. Maidana has no skills anyway and can be boxed as proven but beating him in his own game would be a big accomplishment considering it's only Broner's second fight at the weight.

Depends on the manner of the stoppage. I don't think Broner will stop him, but if he does he deserves credit for doing something nobody else has done, while moving up in weight. Keep in mind that a Broner stoppage is considered the most likely outcome of this fight by the bookies though, so you can't get too high on him.

 

He should but he won't. There will be 1000 excuses after if he does.

 

Hate the guy but it would be very impressive to stop Maidana, don't think it happens because Broner would be stupid to stand and trade with Marcos, i predict Broner to box defensive pot shot and win a UD.

 

Broner isn't even a JWW, he should get alot of credit if he stops Maidana.

That said I'm not certain he stops Maidana, I absolutely think he beats him handily though.

 

I'm not a broner fan at all but if he stops maidana that'll be pretty impressive, not enough to get him top 10 yet IMO though.

 

stopping maidana would be smg special, now knocking him down a bunch of times is nothing new..
i'm very curious to see if maidana can land anything and how boner likes it. Maidana against soto looked like fkn mayweather in some rounds but that was against soto so it doesnt really count.

maidana has really changed his fighting technique for the better. much straighter puncher now he tries to start with he jab.. interesting.

i'll have to check or smr can post real quick, the reach is hugely important, same reach or boner advantage and that spells terribleness for maidana

 

Of course i will give Broner credit (if its a real stoppage and not a BS one) because Maidana is one tough ******* but the real question here is will Chino get any credit if he stops Maidana?. Will it be Broner is a hype job?, Broner wasn't a real WW?
