Lots of bad language in the corner tonight. Actually enjoying Conner VS Goodjohn, both have virtually no power but it's interesting to see an evenly matched battle. Conner is sneaky and Goodjohn is decent defensively but hasn't got a good engine on him.

 Jim Watt apologizing for swearing.

Connor's struggling because he's loading up and staying straight down the line. He needs to move his feet side to side. Little steps and work the jab more.

Then slide right hands behind it and all punches need to be quick. He's trying to take the kids head off.

Goodjohn has shown some quality though i must say. A nice jab and counter right hand and rolls decently.

    Connor to jerky for me..

5 rounds to 3 for Goodjohn for me. Connor could possibly pull this back.

Yeah I like his shoulder roll but sometimes he does it a little too often and sits on the ropes. His body is an open target sadly Connor hasn't thrown any shots.

He looks very relaxed though, but could he do well in a high pace fight against a pressure fighter? I don't know.

Still, he's doing well tonight and has managed to look good against a tricky opponent in Conner.

I agree mate. Think Connor's lack of power is giving him more confidence to do it.

But i think you highlight a good point (doing the roll to much). A better technical fighter with little more power could beat him without to much fuss. Sitting duck comes to mind..

But he's got skills the kid..

I liked that fight, I know people have slated the card but so far barring the Paul Smith snoozefest with Ambler, it's been suprisingly decent.

Yafai looks like he's getting complacent now his opponents are getting SLIGHTLY better and fired up and see him as a meal ticket, rather than just coming to survive they're seeing him as easily hittable and I think Lane did really well and might have won a round and tested Yafai with his body shots.

Goodjohn showed his class against Conner, in their trilogy and it was everything you want from a good domestic fight, both men had their moments but Goodjohn's work was cleaner and he had the better defence (and eyecatching punches)

The Ricky Boylan fight I'm expecting to be good, it's a shame they didn't show Floyd Moore because he scored a 4th round TKO in a pretty big upset against Ryan Taylor.

I'll probably not watch Jaime McDonell, his last fight was just awful, the Kevin Mitchell fight will be scrappy but entertaining as he'll want to make a statement.

Damn that's a great result for Floyd!.

I'm bang up for Owen vs Boylan. Boylan's come a long way since being a kid in the gym who without being naughty i never thought was going to even fight AM.

He's well backed, well supported. It's there for him but Owen's no mug. Tough kid with some skills and will trouble Ricky.

Sets it up for Floyd Moore VS Matty Tew (Portsmouth VS Saints) in a classic Southern Area title fight.

I was impressed with Boylan when I saw him, I think it's a proper 50/50 fight, not bothered that they ain't skilled, the skills will come much later tonight!

You staying up for the Broner VS Maidana? Dunno how some of you people do it, I got Sunday morning football.

 I remember watching Barker vs Geale and then going to Sandhurst for a game and getting home at 4pm to watch Chelsea vs Hull then sleeping after. Didn't sleep for over a day...

    Wrecked!!.

I'm staying up. Laying on my boxing accumulators now.

:good Going with Broner or Maidana? Heart wants Maidana but head thinks Broner will get a gift decision.

You must have been ****ed after that.

Looks like Ogogo has a bit of ring rust, can't figure out how to breakdown Blackwell.

Have no interest in Matchroom card with possible exception of Bundu-Purdy fight although if that clashes with Braemher vs Oliveria fight then i won't watch that either.

Also interested in Kubrat Pulev vs Joey Abell fight. I know Abell will almost certainly lose but have followed Joe's career from start and it would be amazing if he managed to pull of the upset of the year especially as he has tremendous power matched with a horrible glass chin.

Pulev will demolish Abell, he'll play it safe in the first two and then step it up in the third.

Abell nearly did it, had Pulev down in 4th but unfortunately wasn't enough and the moment passed.

Pulev came back and won after Abell retired end of 4th round with an injury.

Yeah Anthony i think tends to load up and run out of ideas. This was a bit similar to the American fight he had. He's got some ability but will have to calm down a bit.

I'm going for Broner. I fancy a stoppage. Fantastic body puncher and Maidana's often been hurt to body. I know it's a outside bet but i dunno i fancy it...

I'm looking forward to seeing Thurman vs Soto Karass.

:rofl at Mark Seltzer topless behind a athlete like Ogogo..

I've not been impressed with Pulev for a long while..
