sadly for Broner, Maidana gave him a reality check..

 

Weigh in at 144 1/2 and rehydrated 13 lbs to 157 for fight night and looked like a tank.

if he rehydrated to 157, then why the **** did he drain himself to 144 unless it was as a potential excuse? Either that or his trainer needs a new scale.

 

If he won tonight then this poll would never exist. In the title it should clearly state "Since Broner lost and I can't accept it, I had to create this shitty poll to help ease my pain."

nobody's denying that broner can make the welterweight limit, but he definitely isn't a "natural welterweight" by today's standards.

u seriously think guys like berto, soto karass, thurman, or ortiz can weigh in at 144 without killing themselves?

broner tried doing what floyd and pac have done, fighting at his walk around weight but he is not as skilled.

I agree. It takes a special fighter like May or Pac in order to do what broner was trying to do in fighting around his walking weight class.

Broner can still make 135 and be champ there. He'd have a good fight with Crawford
