To be honest though I think malignaggi was the only champion he would have had a shot to beat at 147 or 140 so I see why they skipped weight divisions, I thought paulie beat broner anyway.

His power isn't all that, at 135 he was doing what JCC was doing at 160, take away his weight difference and put him in with people his own size he's average.

I've got my doubts Broner could do 135 again, he doesn't take boxing seriously outside the ring the way he lives, a few fights at 147 would he really be willing to put in the extra work to do 135 again ? I don't think he would.

But he has plenty of balls,as well as no little talent.Having said that,Ive just watched the fight and was chuffed for Maidana.Makes Khans win look all the better, doesn't it?Maidana had the ref to contend with, but the crowd seemed to be with Maidana.Imagine a British crowd being against one of ours.Tells you something,I suppose.

It's the vacant smile of an incredibly thick individual whose trash talking often ends up being incomprehensible and a ramble of irrelevant words.

He is not "playing a villain", he's a legit scumbag, that's why the crowd were baying for his blood, they couldn't rob Maidana as there literally would have been a riot.

Now that we've seen Broner comprehensively humiliated and made another mans ***** live on TV, we don't care about him any more, and he ain't never gonna be the same again after that humilation, he looked shellshocked the and hurt the very first time he got hit and literally looked like he was gonna cry (I personally think he did) afterwards. He looked 16 years old by the second round, 12 years old by the 8th, and 8 years old as he was storming out of the arena getting trash thrown at him as he started welling up

And aside from the pleasure of seing Broner destroyed (and I did take pleasure from it, because the guy is a c unt) it also felt nice to say "I told you so" to all of the idiots who said Maidana was "tailor made" for Broner  more like the other way around

Like I said in another thread, you put a spoilt brat bully who is used to being the bigger stronger man and having everything his own way, in with one of the meanest, strongest, hardest hitting come forward fighters in boxing today, they honestly bought their own hype.

It almost seemed at times when Broner was desperately looking at the referee and his corner he was like "WTF? He's not supposed to be hitting me this hard!"

Perfect example of a bully meeting a much nicer, but much tougher kid who won't take any of that ****

I was on such a high after that fight, what a great Christmas present

I'm glad he lost because he had become a gobshite who is surrounded by hangers on and completely lacking focus. I'm also glad he lost to guy in Maidana who acknowledged areas of his game werent up to scratch, went away and worked on them and come away with a huge win. I hope Broner sees parity there and comes back because he has obvious talents but he needs to knock the hip hop on the head, not just for focus he is also ****, get rid of some of that entourage and graft!

I remember many moons ago Floyd was a bit of an acquired taste before his immense talent began to be appreciated and there is shades of that in Broner but he isnt in Mayweathers galaxy... He'll come back hopefully stronger smarter and more humble
