It seemed to me like he was on Broner's side.

He couldn't possibly have been stupid enough to fall for Broner's act after the "headbutt" (Maidana was just trying to break free from Broner's holding) so there was no reason to deduct a point, unless he wanted Al Haymon's fighter to win.

And he let Broner get away with a lot of fouling, such as the big punch after the bell at the end of the 11th round.

He didn't fall for Broner's acting, in fact, if memory serves he basically told Broner to get up. I think a point is warranted for a blatant head butt attempt. AB's play acting was downright embarrassing though.

Cole should have taken a point after warning AB about the forearms a thousand times, but by and large he did an okay job of reffing. Not great, far from the worst I've seen.

Why don't you complain about Wlad who is the worst fouler in the sport. Never has there been refs so blatantly paid off like the clowns who call Wlads 'fights'. You're in no place to cry foul of any fighter.

He was pretty bad. He wasn't as much on Broner's side as the ref in his fight with Paulie where Broner got away with kicking PM in the balls.

Someone with a history like that shouldn't be permitted to work world title fights.

TR & GB pay Cole good money to help the house fighter.

Definitely should have taken a point, Broner had an excessive amount of 'last' warnings. Glad it didn't matter in the end.

He and Nady are the laziest, most disinterested, incompetent refs in the sport. I know his daddy gets him all the big fights to work in Texas but both should be watched carefully by the powers that be.

He should have lost a point for the punch after the bell......this was a great fight, but a dirty fight.

True. Cole himself should've been better positioned too though.

However had Maidana punched Broner after the bell he would've been deducted a point. Although actually probably DQ'd when Broner did a Dirrell.
