Apparently there's no rematch clause, tho, so I'm wondering why Maidana would wanna give a rematch to a guy who was a mouthy idiot in the build up and who had the ref onside.

Maidana beat him clearly and it would have been even more clear if the ref had been less partial...unless the $s are real good, it ain't one that Maidana needs to revisit - he won in spite of Broner being the house fighter. There really is no plus side for Maidana, unless the money is too good to refuse.

 

Let the hypejob wallow in sorrow with no rematch and blur out of relevance now. He has been exposed and it will take years to rebuild himself but I don't he has what it takes.

The only rematch he'll be getting is against Paulie. No way GB/Haymon put him in against ANYONE with real punching power.

 

He had to give credit or look even worse.....Adrien wanting an immediate rematch may not be the best ideas and hopefully the right people managing his career will guide him in the right direction.....which is south of the welterweight division and away from Miadana. But his pride is talking right now and he is embarrassed....he wants to show that he isn't bothered by the loss but it was a hard pill for a guy like Adrien to swollow.

I said it's a tune up for Maidana before he moves up from D-Level Broner to C-Level Lee Purdy.

 

Literally no point in a rematch. Broner got beat up for 12 rounds.

 

Maybe he should first avenge his loss to malignaggi before he tries getting knocked out again
