He warned Broner about pushing twice, Broner did it at least 20 times more and no more warnings yet alone a deduction. And never mind the elbows.

It's Laurence cole were talking about. Remember when he told Marquez he's leading so if he wants to stop the fight and go to the scorecards he understands.

    There was no headbutt.

    Rewatch the event.

Broner was in big trouble, and to avoid further damage, had BOTH Maidana's arms in armlocks, for several seconds. Cole did nothing to end the illegal holds.

Maidana DRAGGED HIS HEAD ALONG BRONER'S CHIN. He did NOT butt him.

Given the continuous fouling by Broner from the opening bell (holding, pushing, Elbowing to the throat etc) with no penalty imposed by Cole, the point deduction for the provoked "butt" was totally unwarranted.

Note further, there was no point deduction for the blatant sucker punch delivered by Broner AFTER THE BELL.

So was Cole biased....or just incompetent ?

    It was actually three times.

And yes, Cole is clearly on the GB payroll. Something needs to be done about this guy and the entire state. I'd love to see fighters take a stand and refuse to fight in Texas. It's by far the most corrupt commission in the country.

He had to be paid off to favor that stupid ****** Broner. There is no way any other ref would have gave him 20 warnings for multiple fouls and not taken any points away.

Bull****!!!! Laurence Cole did an OK job He let them fight. He didn't do a Cortez The reason the real winner got the decision was because the fight was not in Vegas but in San Antonio Texas. He did let Broner get away with holding & forearm smashes too much tho
If you want corrupt ref's look no further than Cortez, Marlon B Wright, Richard Steele. To be perfect Cole should have taken a point from Broner too for the incessant holding which lead to the headbutt
Thje real winner got the decision. Would he have in Vegas????????? doubtful

He was absolutely horrible, and 110% on Broners side. He took a point away for Marcus for that BS acting job after the headbutt, threatened to take a point away from either fighter early on from the excessive elbow use, and although Broner repeatedly used that tactic and was warned, he was never deducted. The only time Madaina was hurt was from the cheap shot after the bell in the 11th, and Cole did NOTHING about it. A horribly biased job. I almost felt like I was watching Garcia-Matthysse again.. and people talk about the UK and Germany....give me a f@#$ing break..

Bull****!!!!! Maidana rightfully got the decision & the win in Texas. I seriously doubt he would have in Vegas or New York. They are the more corrupt states

Texas is the worst. It's controlled by the Cole family. Vegas and New York have more bad decisions but there are more fights there. If we go by percentages, I think Texas is the worst.

The Klitschkos have had American referees and judges for many of their fights. Vlad does not headbutt, as a matter of fact, in most of Vlad's fights he out boxes his opponents. Watch Vlad Vs, Derrick Jefferson back when Jefferson was hot on HBO, Vlad knocked him out in the second round, Jefferson was 6 feet 6 inches, as well as Thompson who also was supposed to have been 6 feet 6 inches tall. Vlad knocked him out two times. I mention the height of some of Vlad's opponents simply because of all the haters who claim that Vlad wins fights only because of his height, Vitali also...............Wach was 6 feet 8 inches tall and on roids! Vlad also beat McCline when McCline was at his peak, McCline had knocked out Grant when Grant was the HBO king of heavyweights. Let's not forget Don King's Austin. Most of Vlad's fights do not involve much holding, or shall I say clinching. Lennox Lewis used to clinch a lot, lean on his opponents, even held Grant when he hit him, clearly seen on HBO. The Klitschkos are extremely good fighters with extremely underrated skills, at least in America, mainly because of some of the boxing writers and pure hate by some American fans. Watch Vitali Vs. Arreola, or Vitali Klitschko Vs. Kirk Johnson which sold out during a huge snowstorm at Madision Square Garden, New York, New York, USA. Vitali Vs. Arreola was HBO's top rated fight of the year!!!!!!! Whatever, Klitschkos have been lied about for years in America, esp., when their fights were not shown on USTV. (Easier to get by with lies) We Klitschko fans have had to put up with this crap for years now. I would read one report, then watch the fight, I tell you they lied a lot, completely different fight. The Klitschkos are the very best and as a boxing fan I feel very lucky to have lived to see their fights..............I hope Vitali will fight, at least one more time, he will be missed if he retires...........(I think Vitali will win election)............Our Klitschko Fan club, years ago, used to be interrupted, rudely, and this was years ago! Klitschkos are honest people, no trash talk, just plainly into their sport and business. Enjoy The Klitschko Bros. while you can...............they are the best heavyweights in the world today, by far.............

As far as Lawrence Cole, well, he has been doing a very poor job for many years now. Yes, it did appear that he was biased. Broner hit Maidana after the bell at the end of round 11, clearly after the bell...Cole did nothing, not to mention all the other fouls Broner got by with, elbows, forearms, pushing, you name it. Maidana did not complain, he just did his job of beating the crap out of Broner. Glad he won and so very glad that the judges were pretty much correct...............I have to thank Brian Kenny for telling it like it was.............
