What happened to Vitali's deadline?

He was given until 30th November to decide if he wants to fight Stiverne or give up the belt and he said nothing, then he was given an extended date by the WBC until the 15TH OF DECEMBER 2013 and yet again...NOTHING!

How can he just ignore the WBC's rules, how can the WBC allow this?

They stripped Andre Ward due to ''inactivity'' yet clearly ride Vitali's d-ck, this is horrendous. Stiverne has fought two eliminators to earn his shot, he isn't an amazing fighter (Stiverne) but he's EARNED his shot.

Seriously, this is becoming a joke - the WBC are playing favorites and aren't being strict enough with Vitali.

It really has become a farcical situation. Vitali possibly believes he needs the WBC title to help him win votes and support for his political ambitions but is so engrossed in the troubles in Ukraine, he has no time to live up to his obligations as WBC champion and the WBC are seemingly happy with the situation.

Suffice to say I have lost all respect for Vitali.

It was bad enough he wasn't fighting top contenders when he was active , now he is holding the belt at gunpoint and not defending it at all.

Do K2 do anything positive at all for the HW champinship?

Vitali has much more important things on his mind than his WBC obligation.
So I understand his delay. I have no problem with that.
I hope vitali does win the election. there is always corruption in politics. but reading about the situation in the Ukraine this is a serious matter.
this is a fight for the peoples to voice there disdain in the existing Ukrainian Government. and Vitali being a role model and also wbc champion gives. him and the WBC recognition. I meant sound bites regarding the WBC recognition.:happy.

It has gone far beyond a joke, Just Retire Vitali sick of him and his brother now, At least when Vitali is gone we might get some of the fights we want like Pulev and Fury ect because a title will be at stake.

Aye, It's becoming a pisstake now.

He pretty much admitted on BBC Hardtalk all the way back in MARCH that he had no interest in defending the belt anymore.

the WBC need to grow a pair, or at least have some stern words with the Hairdresser.:nono

There were rumours of him retiring and then getting a shot at the belt whenever he likes (likely in Germany/home soil). The situation looks like it will be resolved this week.

He is not retiring, being a World Champion in an Election can draw and attract a youthful base/vote.

BTW, the WBC gets paid on percentages on the Purses, one Vitali fight generates for revenue for them then 3-4 Stiverne bouts, let's not kid ourselves. Also the Klits have become a staple and an example of genuinely "classy" people the sport needs. Suliaman knows this,
    :deal:good

He will retire on his own terms, or continue to defend the title, the WBC will not force him into anything. Besides its not like Stiverne had a chance at beating him anyway
