Vitali should be made Champion emeritus, which is exactly what he is, and the WBC should let Wilder/Arreola/Stiverne/Fury fight it out for the title.

Whichever 2 of the 4 who are willing to get in the ring before March 1. :think

And obviously, Stiverne, if able, would have his choice of the 3 contenders.:good

Vitali should have given up the WBC belt.

    He is Champion emeritus.

It is a shame what he is doing since 2013.

Again, its not a compelling argument. There is no reason for him to still be WBC Champion if he is more invested in politics. Relinquishing the WBC Belt and becoming Emeritus Champion would allow him to focus on political matters while allowing the boxing world to move on, and it would also allow him to return to boxing when his schedule allows him to.

And stop pulling up this "if he was an American" bull****. I dont give a flying **** what nationality he is. He has needlessly held up the belt and division, and put the WBC's heavyweight scene in statis because wont do what's best for boxing, because he is unwilling to make his mind up, because he will not fulfill his obligation as WBC Champion. If he was an American I would be complaining about him just as much, same if he was British, Canadian, Argentine or from ****ing Mozambique. Nationality or race or whatever is not the issue here.

No he shouldn't. It should be for the full version of the title for Whoever fights for it.
Vitali isn't any champion. Not emeritus not nothing. How his he a champ? What top fighters has he beaten? Why should he hold a version of the title when he may never fight again and hasn't fought a top contender ever.

Sorry, that's not how it works. I've been a long time fan of his, but there is no defending this crap he's pulling, regardless of his motive.

His best win is Chisora who Haye put away in 5 and Fury beat as a novice.

    A Champ?? Get real.

Wish him luck in his political career Chef. Although you probably have to do it via his "little" brother if you see him. :good

I just talked to him 2 days ago.....He called all the members of his team. Ill talk to him again next week. Ill tell him

it has been an absolute honor to work with Vitali. He is a great champion and and an even greater person outside the ring. He and Wlad have become like a brothers to me over the last 10 years.

I know Vitali will work on the politics with as much heart, passion and hard work as he did in the ring. He will be a success:thumbsup:deal:good

With all due respect to the political scene in the Ukraine, one has nothing to do with the other. If he can't do both he needs to give up one. It's simply unfair for other boxers to have to keep waiting their rightful shot at the WBC's paper trinket. Champion emeritus is also unfair to those same fighters. If you retire and come back you should have to work your way back just like everyone else.

Dude, you're a ****ing moron who can't talk boxing. The WBC title is meaningless if you're not the true champion. As long as it exists though it should be fair for everybody...not just show favoritism to your daddy.
