    Do you think he could be an ELITE fighter? This lost hurt him a bit, but he can bounce back. Remember when PacMan first lost? He bounced back and is an icon. So Broner still has a shot. Hopefully he can have 6-8 months to get himself into proper thinking.

    Of course he can be elite, has loads of talent, just needs to fight within his weight class.

    Should no where near 147, was a courageous move.

    Posters on this site spend all their time criticizing Floyd and Ward for not jumping up in weight and taking on challenges and when a bloke like Broner does it - and he has no right to even consider it - then you'll jump down his throat, it's pathetic.

    People can still bounce back from loses dude. The guy just LOST ONE fight. So, don't count him out yet.

    Depends how serious he takes part two of his career. If he trains on alcohol and strippers then no.

    If he fights at a lower weight maybe ..He can forget about the welterweight division.

    No chance, I said before Maidana loss he ain't ever gonna be elite, there's just too many flaws in his game, maybe he can be a slightly better Zab Judah.

    Yeah that's true for now he's not ready. He was moved too quick in my opinion.

    Who could he beat to become elite at 140?

    Provodnikov pulverizes him...
    Matthysse murders him...
    Garcia 'good boys' him....


    And as if the fat little twat can get down to 135 after walking around at 170 all year.

    He does have just one loss, but the way he reacted after the loss - I don't think he will ever mentally overcome the thrashing his ego suffered. And I never thought he was going to be "elite" in the sense of Floyd or Ward in any case.

    He has to go back down. I think he could be if he trains hard and have the dedication. He is still pretty young. Most fighter at that age are still fighting tomato cans.

    He strikes me and the Nassem type of character where such a one sided drubbing will badly effect his confidence- and let's not forget that Nassem was schooled by an all time great. Broner was schooled by an average brawler.

    The outlook is bleak for him too.

    At 147, all the top 10-15 guys crush him

    At 140, the major players- Garcia, Matthysse and Provodnikov would end his career.

    And even if he can get to 135- Shafikov and Crawford will be beltholders in all likeliness before he steps in the ring both of them would put on a boxing clinic against him, and even though massively outsized Gamboa might be too dynamic for him (I envisage a Pac-De La Hoya like beatdown)

    He's done.
