Potential May 5th Card For PBF

    Now that Broner took his first L a rematch is definitely due. AND would serve as a great co feature for a stacked May 5th card.

    Mayweather-Khan
    Broner-Maidana 2
    Thurman-Guerrero
    Mares-Gonzalez 2
    Santa Cruz-Salinas

    Thoughts?

    if we have to see Floyd fight Khan which I don't want to its a mismatch. I would love to see that card the more stacked the card is the better I just want to see a great night of boxing.

    GBP loves stacked cards. BECAUSE even if the fighters dont get huge purses. They get exposure to set up bigger fights in the future. I can see a card similar to this one taking place in a near future.

    Mares-Gonzales is taking place in February. Santa Cruz wants to fight in February as well. That may or may not limit him in May.

    Guerrero was already offered the Thurman fight and he turned it down.

    Broner vs Maidana would do well to help the card.

    I can see Danny G being on the card with a solid 147 to build a fight with Mayweather in the fall.

    I no GBP always put on better cards than Top Rank which is nice. but people go on about PPV buys to much I don't care I just want to see a great night of boxing.

    Why should Midana fight Broner again? They need to move forward. There is 0 doubt that Midana beat Broner.

    Would also hate if Mayweather fought Khan.

    I would say I would have to pass on this card.

    Who would you like to see Floyd fight? A realistic opponent that is going to bring the most money to Showtime for the PPV.

    People dont want realistic. THEY want to keep bringing up a Pacquiao fight that has more roadblocks then rush hour traffic.

    I get it, I want to see certain fights as well. BUT, there has to be an understanding of the business side of "prize" fighting as well. Saying Khan is not the best opponent would be correct, but when you break it down and look at the financial side as well as the political side you will see he is one of the better options at this time, hopefully the spectrum broadens as time passes.

    Lara who? That's what the casual fan just said. Lara himself even said he needs to create himself a name before he can lobby for a Mayweather fight.

    Its a money deal that Showtime has created, who brings more money Khan or Lara?
