Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

i disagree. Khan is alot faster and also throws 5/6/7 shots at a time, something floyd cant/wont do. Also disagree that floyd has faster footwork, better yes, faster no.

 

Timing beats speed dude. Once Floyd gets Amir's timing down it's a wrap. Khan fights like an amateur. Flurry in and out move around. Once he starts getting hit cleanly his punch output will drop and he will enter survival mode. Khan needs 3 CJ Ross' to be judging this fight in order to win. That's if he's still on his feet. no fighter is invincible, Buster Douglass proved that, but Khan has next to no chance.

 

i agree that timing beats speed and yes khan will get caught with counters, but "survival mode"???
I cant think of the last time floyd had anyone in survival mode.

 

When you are losing round after round and stop trying to win, IMO that's survival mode. Just trying to make it to the final bell. Survival mode could also be a guy who's getting punished who tries to hold and stall and all of that nonsense.

Mosley quit trying to win against Floyd. So did Canelo.

 

This time of the year again.people start to hype floyd next opponent,i find this hilarious expecially because we are talking about amir khan.

Khan barely survived against LW way past his prime Diaz enough said.

 

im sorry but a past prime mosley and green canelo quitting is not the same at all. Both fighters knew they had lost before a punch was thrown, and this was reinforced in their mind as the rds went by. Khan knows he has the tools to beat mayweather and the longer the fight goes the more confident he will become.

People keep talking about khans chin. Can someone show me a shot that had him wobbled, down, or ko'd that wouldnt have done the same to most other ww, because i can show you shots that he took flush with not a flicker, that would have floored other fighters. Khans chin is not the problem, it was his balance. Yes this is still an issue but only against agressive come forward fighters, which mayweather is not.

I like when people post sh*t without looking up whether its true. Khan has a 71" reach, Mayweather has a 72" reach. Khan is 5'8 and 1/2. Mayweather is 5'8. Hardly "advantages."
