Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

I have to agree but floyd will beat him in a very tough fight. the reach and speed is a huge advantage. non boxing fans dont understand the important stuff.

floyd will end up timing him and beating him but the first 6 rounds arent going to look good.

khan is going to be too quick....simple. He will have a much higher output than floyd and floyd will have difficulty in countering as khan doesnt throw 1/2 punch combos, he throws 6/7/8 shots. I can see mayweather becoming stuck in the shell and basically not doing enough to win the fight. Khan hasnt got to worry about ko power cos floyd doesnt have it and yes he will get caught eventually and possibly wobbled or even kd but mayweather isnt a killer in the mould of garcia/maidana so khan would use his footspeed to create the time and space to recover. Imo

 

Floyd would beat Khans ass.

I agree with everything except the outcome obv. I believe the longer the fight goes, the more it favours khan.

Can i also add that imo floyd is in a league of his own and im a massive fan, but style wise, this is totally wrong for him, especially at 36yrs old.

mate try and keep up. Mayweather is in a league of his own. Khan couldnt beat half the fighters mayweather has beat. But he can beat mayweather. His style is tailor made for khan. Mayweather is a light puncher with low output.

Interesting POV. Khan does not throw 6-8 punch combos. 2-3, 3-4 maybe and they are pitty pat flurries that do no damage usually. I actually see Khan having a little success early until Floyd gets his rhythm and timing down, then Amir is done.


Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as if you are saying that Khan is going to throw a lot of blows to keep Floyd occupied to where he can't fire back.

 

Mayweather will win but this will be an exciting fight. Beleive it or not Khan has guts his chin isn't that bad its his defence and mayweather will probably TKO him 7-9. I am looking forward to this fight every one is banging on about a Maidana fight will be a snooze probably wouldn't evan land a jab on money.

totally agree, i am the biggest floyd there is. not a "*****" just in awe of his skills, dedication and will to win. i call it like i see it and khan and GGG are the worst fights for floyd out of anyone. viper had the best shot back in his prime and alive (RIP) but khan and GGG are even better matchups against floyd.

i hate this fight, i always knew khan is all wronge for floyd BUT i have never seen floyd in anyway close to losing and he adapts like NO other.

i think after 6/7 rounds floyd will have his speed completely down and will go to work behind the high gaurd and will walk him down and eventually get him.

i just cant see floyd losing to anyone except GGG
