I thought Broner did well well from 3-6. probably give him 2 of those, not sure if 3. That 2nd round put it on him. rematch would be wild IMO

    He won the 7th.

    That's it.

I'm not sure what the compubox stats where put Maidana most likely landed more than Broner threw and hurt him loads of times.

Maidana won rounds 1-4 and 8-11. Broner won rounds 5,6, 12 and maybe 7. No way was it even after round 7.

Paulie was trying to make it look close so his loss wouldn't look so bad...

I'll have to go look over my score card but I believe I had given Broner 3 rounds.

I remember thinking in the 6th it was looking close (without precise scoring) but Broners low work rate really makes it hard to give him rounds

Could only give Broner 3 rounds tops, keep in mind paulie had his job threatened the last time he spoke up against Broner/Haymon by showtime

Now I dont entirely agree with the point deduction for Maidana, he was trying to break free from Broner holding both his arms when he was trying to finish and the headclash didnt look like it hurt Broner until the delayed reaction that sent Broner to the canvas.

Now tie in the fact Broner should have been deducted at least 2 points (Constant holding, Pushing, elbows and hitting after the bell) 117-107 or 116-107 depending on if you think the Maidana point deduction was legit. thats a 9-10 point gap in the fight on my card and even if you give broner 2 more rounds which is being VERY generous then its still 115-109 which still is 6 points ahead to Maidana.

The fight really wasnt close and Broner could only capitalize when Maidana was recovering from punching himself out early.

Some people were expecting Broner to win easily, which could lead to scoring the relatively close rounds to him, even if he didn't deserve it.

I gave Broner 3 rounds (I've watched the fight three times now) and I thought that was fairly generous. It wasn't close. It really, really wasn't.

oh believe me i rewatched it and like the Paulie fight Broners inactivity and punch output cost him a lot of rounds.

    1 - Maidana clearly
    2 - 10-8 Maidana
    3 - Maidana
4 - Maidana / could possibly give to Broner if generous
    5- Broner
    6 - Broner
    7 - Maidana
    8 - 10-8 Maidana with a bull**** point deduction
    9 - Maidana
    10 - Maidana
11 - Maidana - no point deduction for hitting after the bell for broner
    12 - Maidana / although I wouldnt argue a Broner round

End of the day the Referee was disgraceful in that fight. He gave Broner time to recover by pushing Maidana away at the start of rounds, called Broner into the corner to fix the binding on his glove, Bought into his obvious academy award winning act, no deductions for holding, pushing, elbows and hitting after the bell

Had the ref not been so biased we could have seen Broner stopped due to the 3 knockdown rule that was in effect or at least 2 points deducted from him but no.

The ref ruined what could have been an amazing fight

Seriously, this same crap happens everytime here after a robbery or after a fight in wich the favorite lost.

Standard method used every time, search for the rounds in wich you can score it both ways and score all of them for your favorite fighter. Then take the rounds that pretty clear and make up a story why you scored that round for your favorite fighter too. Some bull like, yes he got tagged a lot that round but in the last exchange my man hurt him. You can see that because when he (the opponent) walked to his corner after the bell he was smiling, and we all know what that means... A smiling fighter is a hurt fighter... 10-9 for my man.
    Etc... etc...
Keep making up bull until the score favors your man and presto, start your thread! :thumbsup

Sorry doctor, can spin the **** out of this ass whooping. No matter how many times you tell other people to re-watch rounds, they will not agree with you. Broner at most won 3 rounds, with all three being debatable. You can't win rounds when you throw less and land less, keep that in mind when you are watching Broner with your dick in your hand.
