This whole Mayweather can't punch stuff is pure crap. Accuracy and speed hurts as much as raw power. If you've ever been stunned in a ring, you'd know that.

so floyd being the most acurate and quickest counter puncher in the game should cause as much damage as a raw power puncher like provo/mattyese?? Ok so floyds last knock down was????..........errr.....

Count ortiz if you want but sort of devalues the arguement.

I have said this same thing many years ago, Khan high output with speed in straights will cause Mayweather in to defensive mode.

See many people don't understand styles make fights and how would fighters react to different styles.

Floyd like to get off shots when he sets the pace, in a fast combo from Khan Floyd will NOT I repeat WILL NOT COUNTER IN COMBO, so what happens then Khan moves away and repeats the process.

Floyd will have to be a pressure fighter to have success with Khan and has to respect that Khan is faster than him and he won't beat him to the punch, but will Floyd ego stop him ad******g, and saying basically slower than this guy and have to try walking him down.

You see it's not in Floyd's build to counter the fast combos Khan will throw he is a defence first fighter Khan attacks will put Floyd in a defensive shell, and waiting for that perfect moment to land shots on Khan is not going to happen because Khan is not a flat footed fighter he will attack then move, Floyd like to set before he gets off well Khan would give him that time because of his faster hand speed.

    amen, hallelujah, praise the lord.

Exactly how i see the fight going. People think im saying khan is better than floyd. Never in my wildest dreams. But he has got the style to beat him.

Khan should've been made to rematch Barrera, Limond, McCloskey and Prescott before getting gifted a shot at the best.

Actually, as many on this thread have pointed out, you are completely wrong on this subject. Floyd's speed and accuracy keep his opponents honest. If they had no respect at all for his power (again, not one punch KO power, but boxing enthusiasts know that power manifests itself in different ways), then opponents would swarm him incessantly and walk him down. Of course, if you've seen his fights, you'd realize this NEVER happens.

It's like a pitcher who throws in the low 90's but they say he has "sneaky" velocity. Power does not always mean you can knock out a horse with one punch. Floyd's punches are often fast enough that opponent's are stunned by them, and extremely accurate (his right hand usually lands right on the point of the chin). Call it power or call it something else, it still hurts.

Khan will find this out too since on every level of boxing he is inferior to Mayweather by leaps and bounds.
