Why debate weight ? When Marciano is involved it doesn't matter any more than the age of the level of opposition ?

The thing with Bowe is.. he was terribly inconsistent and sometimes didn't train properly.. this should be factored into any matchup with him in it.

This is true. I have only considered the best version of Bowe, say from the first Holy fight. However, he was a slob. How far out of shape he would have to get to be beaten by Marciano is an interesting question.

You crack me up Seamus.. you really do sometimes. In many big fights bowe just didn't show up.. and I see him likely doing the same with a small guy like marciano and thinking he has it in the bag already. If you take the best version of bowe.. I think he should be the favorite and would likely win more times than not. If you actually take bowe as a whole and factor in him being a slob and not training half the time.. the picture isn't so clear.

Adding weight would just make him slower.

Those 2 NEVER got out of the Bantam / Feather divisions. Henry did get out of the Feather division and weighed within the higher divisions limits. Big difference.

As for your nonsensical obsession with Marciano's weight, who cares if he'd put on another 20 pounds to become 205? He'd still be a 5' 10" 67" reached midget compared to either Klitchko, Bowe or Lewis, and he would still be 35 - 45 lbs less than at least 3 of them.

Carry on with your Marciano beats EVERYONE fantasy, because at least it is great fun as well as horse ****.

When does added weight make a mature athlete faster and more mobile?

I think Marciano was more like 5'9" barefoot. Ali was never the 6'3" he was listed, either.

    :good
:good That's something I wish the entire heavyweight division understood before the obsession with sumo wrestling tactics and body building took over.

Bowe was better under 235lb and he was a pro at 216lb one time.

Lewis 224lb against Weaver in hios first important fight.

I base this theory on all the other fighters that have done so.

What do you base the reverse on?
