Which MMA Fighter Should Come To Boxing?

Mma is defo fad like. Few more years and it will be fuk all

Boxing is getting stronger with YouTube and Twitter rivalries . It's almost like aa soap opera following your prefered fighter. The build ups are massive now

 

There are several MMA guys that could make the transition and achieve moderate success(Kharitonov, Cruz, Diaz) but most of them woulld find it difficult competing with guys in the top 20 who have been boxing( and only boxing) their whole lives. There is one exception however.... ANDERSON SILVA.

 

Silva is too lazy. Obviously has power with those tiny gloves. Bit I think he wd get smashed on ropes. Vid of him sparring a big oaf HW boxer at wildcard and he's getting beat up on the ropes. Could prob make top 100 though I'd imagine as he's a great athlete

 

Rampage would be interesting to see, imagine him trying to bodyslam everyone as soon as they clinch

 

Comparing mma to boxing is doomed to failure. Boxing is the Nobel Art.

MMA is a street fight with advanced level rolling about on the ground.

 

Sad to say young Mark Hunt did not fare well in boxing. 1 Loss and 1 draw.

Did you watch Silva's 2nd fight in pro boxing? He was fed a total bum with no fights. He threw so many punches but just did not have punching power in boxing. He still won but the fight was horrible.

Id rather watch am wrestling than ufc, Big 10 has some great wrestlers.

 

I have actually read some fair criticisms on the current state of MMA but you are kidding yourselves if you think it is on it's way out. The UFC may essentially be a monopoly at this time but the sport is basically global and there is a groundswell of fighters popping up all over.

MMA also has more crossover appeal with the non competitive public. People who train grappling all have a connection with MMA and can more easily relate to the active participants. Not many boxing fans can go train in a boxing gym for self improvement or recreational purposes.

As for the thread topic: The only MMA fighters I would like to see box are the ones who claim they could beat the Klitschkos in a boxing match. JDS was one but I think his plans may be on hold because he has been too busy getting outsruck by Wrestlers.
