Yeah the reality that he is overrated and under skilled and no amount of mimiking FMJ will ever change that. Boxcar out PEACE
Yeah he does need to stop the bullcrap though. I mentioned that in the post. Broner can improve, but like I said it's up to him.
Hall of famer...yes. Legend? The talent and potential are there.....but let's face it....Broner is NOT the most intelligent kid in pre-school. He can box....he can fight and he's still young. But to be a legend takes something special that doesn't come easy. Broner has a lot of baggage just being who he is.....in this sport the more baggage you have the less likely you are to reach ones full potential. Broner will most likely be one of those "Would've, Could've and Should've" been type talents who squanders away his money, career and fame because he never matures and is taken advantage of by the leeches in his life.
LOL thats uncanny he has just not improved at all. You would have thought with the 2 gifts he got especially the PDL one he would have tried to fix those problems. What a chump
That was actually the first mention of Broner ever on ESB. The hype train started with the PDL robbery, oddly enough. (despite being an 18-0 prospect then with Golden Boy and pro since early 2008 with a couple of minor TV undercard appearances, his name was never brought up on the forum before 2011...)
Future Legend? I would slam on that brake. Let see him get his career on track first before we throw LEGEND out there. He doesn't have near the skill level you've been fooled to believe. He has had trouble way before the Maidana fight. His size is what has saved him in the past. Look at his last three fights. Rees was able to land crisp cleans shot on him but the punches didn't have power so it didn't affect Broner. Same with Paulie. But once he met a fighter his size and when his punches couldn't bail his ass from all his flaws he was in deep water. The guy has a tons of thing he has to work on like footwork, defense, ring awareness, and his jab. He needs work in the gym and not this non sense of Floyd being his mentor and he's a legend.
Floyd being his mentor is actually a good thing. What's the issue with having a mentor his is UNDEFEATED and the no. 1 p4p in the world?
