I am glad he is retiring with his health intact to focus on his family good for him

I won't lie though and say I am a little jaded of the "could have beens"

About 2-3 years ago the division was stacked with potential dream match ups, although I do understand he not wanting to come to the states to defend his title. He did it the Felix Sturm way.

I wish he went after a rematch. However 50+ fights is a lot. Best wishes Champ.

Farewell C.J. did a great job on the local level. All hail the champion of Indonesia.

He will be remembered as a decent regional level champion (if at all), it's just a shame he never stepped up to the world stage and mostly fought local bums.

It's just sad when overhyped fighters take a loss they almost always immediately call it quits. Naseem Hamed comes to mind, but he was a far greater entertainer than John and was willing to risk it all on a world stage which is why he is talked about even long after his retirement.

The only pity is that John vs. Yordan II never came together (as it was being slowly built towards with them repeatedly co-featuring) before Vetyeka came along dishing out demoralizing ass beatings to both. :-(
