Sorry, but I have to disagree on the real mean fight on there feet part. The fights I see and men putting each other in choke holds and beating them up. This is out in the street. I like Boxing NOT love it, but it's ONE aspect of fighting. However, I did love it as a kid because I watched it with my father. You don't see most people stand up on their feet when they are about to fight. The RUSH EM like a dog.
None, Broner fulfilled boxings quota of in-ring man-humping for the decade already. No need to supplement it with MMA fighters.
didn't tim Sylvia get knocked out in seconds versus ray mercer in an mma bout? what chance would he have in a boxing match, against someone under fifty?
What MMA fighters do on the ground is called Jujitsu and Wrestling. It's not humping dude. Show respect to the sport.
Most casuals who don't follow boxing that much don't know who Broner or the others are. I would dare you to ask the casual who Timothy Bradley is whodon't follow it that much.
I have yet to see a single MMA fighter who had the punching technique to seriously to have any kind of success as a pro boxer. It would take years for an MMA fighter to become competent. It's possible if they are young enough and have years to learn their craft as Wlad and Vitali came from a kick boxing back ground but you couldn't simply take any MMA star and expect him to have any success in the short term. Just look at Anderson Da Silva, he had 2 pro boxing matches. He lost in 2 rounds to a journeymen and then beat a guy on his pro debut who never fought again.
Lucas Browne was a failed MMA fighter (6-2 with 2 KO losses, including one to current UFC HW Daniel Cormier) and is now having some success in the heavyweight division... so it can be done. It's just rare.
Anderson Silva had two pro boxing match's with about ten years between. He was stopped in his first fight and stopped a débutante in his second fight who never fought again.
I wonder do you actually know what a monopoly is?? Of course there are other organisations but in comparison to the UFC? They're Micky Mouse companies. Your not in the UFC? Then your not relevant, just like WWE. So that's one point cleared up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeygGXcfq3c (There's a lot more videos like it) Rampage couldn't wait for his contract to run out so he asked to be released. And he's not the only one. MMA has lost the point all together. MMA was first created to see who would win between say a Boxer and a BJJ fighter etc. That's not the story any more, it has lost it's way and is losing popularity and will be out of the mainstream in 10 years time. http://www.fighthype.com/news/artic..._medium=referral&utm_campaign=crowdignite.com I'm sorry man, but your wrong. MMA is another pretender.
And who was the star of that show? How much money did it bring in? How much did the "fighters" get paid? How many people bought it on PPV?
