It's understandable that in light of the recent Broner Maidana upset, people won't really be talking about Danny Garcia.

Just wanna say though, now that the Broner hype train has crashed and burned...
The real future of boxing is Danny Garcia.
I had LM winning by KO but Garcia found a way to win and has the rare trait of pulling off an upset when the world is against you.
He's young, undefeated, and although his father comes across as a real *****, he's smart and I think they will stay away from Mayweather and cement his own legacy as the next pound for pound king.
Only thing he's really lacking is a massive fanbase which I think he can get considering his fighting style isn't that boring even though he's a boxer rather than a slugger.

As a fan of Garcia I'm hoping he makes it that far. He has the mentality of a great fighter who is willing to fight all. Just hoping he doesn't decide to cash out and sell away that 0 fighting Mayweather.

He has hit his peak IMO. He gets hit too much, punches too wide a majority of the time, and has average speed and footwork. He will not be the future of boxing.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao would give anyone in history hell based on their styles. No one will be "exposed" here unless you're a butthurt emotional Amir "Twitter Overseer" Khan fan.

  6. Gotta admit, his last few fights have been highly dramatic.

I love watching the kid fight

One of the most entertaining boxers in the sport.

There is a complexity to his skills that don't get appreciated.

DSG is the clear #1 at LWW already, there are some title holders at WW which should be winnable for DSG. If he wins a belt at 147 then fights Floyd, it will be huge.

To be the best you have to beat the best. What kind of fan doesn't want to see their fighter test themselves against the best? A loss does not end a boxers career like people on here seem to think.

I think he is too. I said this back in 2011 (based on potential) and people thought I was trippin.

5-0 since 2011 with wins over Holt, Judah, Khan, Morales, Matthysse.

He was the underdog in four out of five of those bouts as well.

I think he respects the process of development, and seems to get better each time out.

I see sometime in the future he and Keith Thurman fighting for the #1 P4P spot. With Danny coming out on top.

    Garcia is black.

So he has the trait that the p4p #1 has.

Became a fan hearing his funny father,

Khan ko was great and unexpected

    Nah he won't make it.

Stick him in with Timmeh' or an iron jawed Khan and it's game over...
