Pulev's resume is good and yet I don't rate him

Pretty ironic, given that you were all set to agree with Ol'Bub and blame Mandela for Lesotho's through the roof **** statistics. Now...why on earth would you want to blame him for that...? :think

 

I don't think you know what irony means, Drew. I said that Mandela is responsible for the horrible situation in South Africa -and this is a fact no one can dispute. I said he was a socialist who did as much bad as he did good. Only an idiot would see that as evidence of someone being racist. As for the Lesotho comment... Id like you to point me to the post where I claimed such a thing. Because I do not recall writing anything like that...

 

Sequence of events:

* Ol' Bub made a comment that during apartheid, South Africa had a space program, and that afterward it was the leader in rapes committed.

* In my response, I pointed out that South Africa was not actually the leader in this statistic and posted a graph showing that Lesotho was the leader (by a considerable margin). South Africa did not even appear in the Top 50 countries shown.

* You responded to that by asking me if I even knew where Lesotho was.

* When I responded to that question by stating that I did, and that Lesotho was its own sovereign state, you responded that I was posting with emotion...in spite of the fact that I was simply refuting a previous poster's claim that Mandela ascension to power caused SA to become the world leader in rapes committed.

All this has nothing to do with Kubrat Pulev, of course...But neither do the criticisms labelled against Faerun in recent posts.

 

Now the anti-fa trash is crying about Mandela in this thread.atsch


Back on point:

Freedom contributes a ton more to ESB than that Faerun ***** ever has. Freedom talks fight strategy, posts informative links and is on top of fight results involving several up and comers. While Faerun just seems to make his presence known by gloating at the misfortune of Slavic fighters. Like when he laughed at the condition of Lebedev's eye during the Jones fight.

Unfortunately this board mirrors society in that it is full of bitches with their own racial agenda's that run crying to the authority figures(mods) everytime something offends their fragile sensibilities.

 

Fact is...Freedom still turned what was a technical assessment of Pulev into a flame fest by bringing race into the equation. I don't necessarily agree with everything that Faerun wrote in the initial post, but I'd rather read critiques about the post itself (such as the one posted by Manning in the first page of the thread) than read knee-jerk reactions about how much Faerun hates Slavic fighters.

If you don't want to take the time to address the points made in the opening post, then don't ****ing post in the god damned thread.

 

The direction Freedom took the poening post is far more interesting and relates directly to the health of this forum than points made in the initial "****ing post in the God damned thread".


Nice rebuke, coming from a guy who brings up Mandela.

 

The forum is at its healthiest when people are engaging in technical discussions of a fighter, rather than smearing seven styles of **** all over of the place. If ****'s your thing, then so be it....But I personally would rather discuss the topic at hand.

So, with that in mind...

Pulev is indeed by far and away the most accomplished heavyweight in the division, and probably has the best jab in terms of timing and accuracy. In order to defeat Wlad, though, he's got to move into range, fire off a couple and then move out quickly before getting tagged in return....or grabbed. I'm not sure if he has the mobility to do that for a full twelve rounds. But he's got a better shot than anyone else, as far as I'm concerned.

 

Pulev is decent, nothing more. No further explanation should be warranted. It has all been done to death.

I bet a prime Mandela could have given him a good fight...
