jmm and canelo, really? chico only advantage, height /reach/ wouldnt even extend his arms for whatever reason, like he was try to punch floyd with his elbows. something was seriously wrong in that fight/
Floyd has a longer reach than Chico. In fact, he probably has a longer reach than 95% of his opponents.
Emmyeah...:think That's what fans expect from champions atsch That's how champions eventually lose :yep
You do know Chico (RIP)was favored in that fight and you telling me a younger JMM wasn't a live fighter?
The gentlemen I compared Floyd to in the OP, Klitschko. He has removed any doubt that he is the best, even his haters can't deny it. He'll fight the best in the division or the no names, it doesn't matter to him. :deal You don't hear Wlad saying the fight won't sell or other nonsense like that. Everyone can have their turn getting knocked out. Manning knows what's up. :yep
Again and unfortunately, the boxing forum guy's opinion doesn't translate to who is universally regarded as the best fighter in the world.
So Wlad is number 1 p4p and Mayweather is the hypejob. That's interesting considering Wlad has been knocked out 3 times(all against guys he was fully expected to steamroll) and considering Mayweather has gone undefeated against a better crop of opponents.
If Mayweather were so great, there wouldn't be this constant stream of complaints from, let's face it, a not insignificant portion of the boxing community. When any sportsman is unequivocally the best at their craft, there is much less discussion about if they are great and more about how great they are. VBOX is kind of on the lines of what I'm thinking when he talks about Wlad: nobody questions him as such because he has cleaned out the division. I'm not saying for one moment he's greater than Mayweather relatively speaking, or that he would be remembered as a greater figher than Mayweather; rather I mean that for someone so evidently great at their craft as Mayweather, he has left such considerable room for criticism and doubt, that a good portion of the sport will always consider his legacy tarnished. Mayweather is epic, but the jury will always be out as to how epic because so many people consider him to have ducked opponents.
We should rethink what we consider a hype job. That phrase is normally reserved for prospects however I think it should be the veterans that think they've done enough and only need to live off of past accomplishments. Nowadays you need to work your way up to become a hype job. Floyd, Haye...
