I very rarely engage with posters like this, but he was just so far off base, it's crazy. Mayweather is the best pro boxer in the world, if just an opinion, a very strong one as it is backed up by facts and the opinions of respected industry professionals.

All Top Rank fighters are ducking Golden Boy fighters.
All Golden Boy fighters are ducking Top Rank fighters.

There, I simplified it for you. Instead of talking about each fighter one at a time, this gets it all done at the same time. Because this is reality.

Floyd vs Lara @ 154/152 is one fight that I'd even pay to watch it. If Lara would fight Canelo and beat him, I think Floyd would fight him.

First, Lara has to beat somebody with a good profile like Canelo or Cotto to be eligible as a possible opponent for Floyd.

Exactly! If Lara can get more exposure by fighting and beating a Cotto or a Canelo, then the public would clamor for Mayweather vs Lara.

Lara has to do more. He doesn't really have an established fanbase outside of the hardcore boxing community.

I think he should try to fight Molina and get his title, than a win over Canelo or Cotto would put Lara in the Mayweather sweepstakes in early-mid 2015. This is provided of course he can get those kind of fights and win over Molina and Cotto/Canelo.

I heard Greenlad fights cab drivers and dishwashers for lunch money. True story. He "smashes" them with a jab, and they twirl around like punch-out! characters, then he pays them after the fight with gummybears and coupons for free personal pan pizzas.

What you need to do is smash some libraries with some dictionary rentals, and teach yourself some grammar.

Even Lara knows and has said he's is not ready for Floyd. That is from the man himself...there's no better source. Lara should clean out 154 first, win more fights cleanly w/o disputes (the Trout win was impressive) . He should definitely get Canelo in the ring.

He's good and I am a fan. I would love to see a fight with Floyd. With the right gameplan he has the tools to give Floyd a serious challenge. But, he is not anywhere close to being entitled to a fight with Floyd. Why people like to hype EVERY up and comer who looks good in a few fights as someone Floyd is ducking is stupid. Floyd is basically taking a second lap around the track in his career right now. He did enough before he un-retired in 2009 to probably go down arguably as one of the 50 best ever. Appreciate what you are seeing right now. He is in a class by himself.
