I have to agree, although I do think that Manny posses good defensive skills: So I don't think he'll fall off quite as hard as Roy did.

Manny's footwork is crap. He couldn't even trap old man Mosley.

    Let us check that again:

    http://cdn2.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1933477/3_medium.gif

Yuck. What kind of poor footwork is that? He just completely went out of range after throwing a near perfect lead left.

    Here is another one:

    http://cdn0.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1933501/5_medium.gif

I think I almost puke after watching that gif.
I mean, Pac was backing up, then almost flawlessly threw a lead left on a charging Rios, then AGAIN went out of range by creating an angle and turning Rios, evading Rios' punch, went back in to deliver a combination at an angle then out again. SIX F*CKING CONSECUTIVE TIMES. FLAWLESSLY. In and out. Turning Rios around. Six. Times.

If that gif doesn't prove that Pac has horrible horrible footwork, then I don't know what will.

End this thread please. This Pacquiao is simply a lucky ******* with no footwork. None.

Pac clearly has very fast, agile feet, especially for an aggressive puncher. How he is able to stay balanced when throwing so many punches from so many different positions and angles is amazing.

But his foot placement and use of his footwork is poorly executed. He often over balances himself when throwing a big shot because he lunges in and over stretches. He basically ruins his good footwork by being too eager and aggressive.

Hopkins footwork is on another level. He doesn't have the quickest feet but his placement, balance and position is perfect. He is always moving laterally, forcing opponents to reset over and over again. Pac has quick feet but doesn't utilise them to his advantage.

If this is anywhere near the truth, then Pac would get stuck charging in and not create an angle going out.
Having agile feet doesn't automatically create an opening for you to get out if you don't have an idea on how to place your feet to create an angle as you were going in and how to sequence your steps to create an angle moving out.
Pac gets overly unbalanced because of his square and forward stance plus insane speed going in (thus the JMM KO) and that works for him and his aggressiveness.
But if you will watch his gifs closely, that square stance happens in about a fraction of a second before he attacks then as soon as he resets he maintains a good stance.

Keep your eyes focused on his feet on his gif and tell me that that is "just quick and agile feet":

Man almost instinctively creates angles going in and out. Instinctively. And that's just "not elite"?
    SMH.:patsch

I honestly can't name any other fighter with such fluid in-and-out and angled motion.

He would be the biggest openly gay athlete since Martina Navratilova and it would be his signature win

I'd say at least 5 million views, and if done right probably a lot more.

Floyd would lose badly because Pac would box in tight which would distract Floyd a lot. Floyd might get drop on purpose just so he can be on his knee to get a closer look at Pac anaconda...well at least comparing to Floyd recent photo Pac must have an anaconda compare to Floyd little garter snake.

Now he has pretty much made it impossible for this fight to happen ....If he cared at all he would look past Bob and try to make the fight we all want to see ...but instead of coming up with ideas on how to make it happen its always road blocks ...am I wrong here :huh

If a man tried to f--k up my pockets, and gave me hell for years I wouldnt want to feed him either. Arum or Pac. He offered Pac 40 million. FORTY MILLION dollars. Thats more money then hes ever made in his life. After years of Floyd trying to get the fight, Manny needs it now. For his finances. I wouldnt give him the gift either. Let him sulk in regret, and then lowball the hell out of him when the time comes. 25 million, FLAT FEE.

May doesnt fight TR fighters anyway. I thought that was known.
