Lewis showed his true colors when he QUIT the sport rather than give Vitaly a rematch. Lennox Lewis did his best fighting in the Courts when he routinely sued fighters over financial minutia. He routinely chased rematches when it suited him but when confronted with a situation where he would not hold all the cards he scurries of into the shadows only to return periodically and defame the man who chased him into exile. All the while somehow managing to get himself starched by two American contenders who were levels below him ability wise. Lewis and his cadre of EBS sychpphants deserve one-another. They are all phonies who wear their agenda's on their sleeve for all to see.
Lewis was finished at that point. If the fight happened 5 years earlier, there would have been a rematch no doubt :deal
He is a ATG, not resume wise but how he defeated what was in front of him. If he wasn't Wlad brother there is no Wladimir Klitschko. He's obviously the greater fighter and I think will go down in history as the better brother. He's in my top10
Lewis was done because Vitaly beat the **** out of him. Eight months earlier when Lewis was beating Tyson half to death, the insiders claimed Lewis to be at his physical peak and could fight into his forties. Lewis then takes Tyson to court and tries to force him into a rematch, like damn hear killing him the first time around was not enough. I guess Lewis' zealous stance on rematches did not apply to Vitaly. I wonder why?
What does this make Hits for Quitting against Byrd and never seeking a rematch even though both were highly ranked the next several ? Lewis won and continued with a planned retirement. Hits quit and never tried to avenge that because it was a bad styles match up for him.
Lewis had no intention of retiring before the fight with Vitaly. People around him considered him to be in his prime. Emanuel Steward said he made personal lifting and running records during his training camp for Johnson/Vitaly. Lewis may have been six pounds up from the Tyson fight but it was muscle weight not fat like the spindoctors would lead you to believe.
Neither of the Klitschkos is an ATG. They have been champs in the worst era ever and ever. Srill I see they have sidestepped some oponents they could have fought even if those oponents was way of their prime, Holyfield for example. They could be in ATF All Time Fakes
sorry to make you look like an idiot but "Question: Are you looking to fight twice this year? Lewis: That is fair to say." http://www.boxinginsider.com/interviews/interview-with-lennox-lewis/ and that (skip to 6:20): "...and we can have another fight after that" [yt]7M-neIc1YlA[/yt]
Sure. How about you saying heavyweights of a the past really weren't heavyweights? That is non factual.
