He's been called "The Greatest" and, you know what? He was. Speed, grace, a transcendent ring intelligence and miraculous resilience made Ali a legend in the ring.
For me the version of ALI between 1964-1967 is the most complete and perfect Heavyweight there has ever been. Also over the course of his career he fought and beat the best crop of Heavyweights there has ever been and no other Heavyweight has even come close to matching it. Best Heavyweight Champion of all time: Joe Louis Greatest Heavyweight of all time: Ali (1964-67 version)
By today's standards Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frazier and Jack Dempsey would be cruiserweights. The rest are the heavyweights and anyway the answer is Muhammad Ali.
Personally I prefer Joe Louis over Ali. I think he was the absolute epitome of a champion. H2H I'd favour Ali, but Joe's my man.
I cant take anything anywhere, its not my post. I was only asking you a question, no need to avoid it.
