I find it hard to believe anyone would agree to a winner-take-all contest. Isn't that what this fight is?

Both Chudinov and his opponent throwing a lot in round one, going for the early KO.

    Chudinov 1-0.

I enjoy watching these Russian punchers like the Chudinovs.

    3-0 Chudinov.

Ref was thinking about stopping it late in round 3.

doesn't look like Chudinov punches that hard above average power at best. Novoa is pretty awful Chud should of had him out of there in the 1st.

Chudinov wins as his opponent quits on his stool after the 3rd.

    Just finished:

Sergey Ekimov vs. Konstantin Piternov, 8 rounds @ light heavyweight

Ekimov beat Piternov via TKO in the 1st or 2nd.

WTF? How was Chudinov vs. Novoa on already, so early?

That should have been the co-featured bout if not the main event (considering even though Jones is the star attraction here, Chudinov vs. Novoa was technically for a world title in a legitimate org...albeit an interim one...)

It was on at 8:30pm local time in Moscow, before crap like Ekimov vs. Piternov? :huh What genius planned this out? This is supposed to be a 3.5 hour broadcast (8-11:30pm local time, 11am-2:30pm EST) - so how are they going to kill all this remaining time? Why bury the interim world title bout so deep on the card???

    EDIT: NEVER MIND. :yep

Piternov was the guy who Sillakh beat up prior to the Kov fight wasn't he?

Yeah I was putting my kid down to nap assuming I was just missing the domestic crap on the undercard.

Yep. Ekimov stopped him significantly faster than Sillakh or Sukhotsky did, so he might be someone to eventually pay attention to - but that doesn't change the fact that right now he is still just some unproven prospect and shouldn't be higher up on the card than a freaking world title match, in a showcase 8-rounder. :-(

Makes sense. Novoa's only chance was to force an early firefight and hope for the best. Raw power is all he really has going for himself and the longer a contest lasts - especially with someone on Chudinov's level - the more likely he is to get kayoed himself.

EDIT: NEVER MIND. Chudinov and Novoa haven't fought yet. There was some confusion here.. :yep
