With the Fox Sports 1 deal Boxing looks great. Almost every Monday night it's on at prime time. Plus ESPN and NBC Fight Night. So, what do you think? Is Boxing heading into a good direction? P.S. also with the new BKB league things are looking nice.

I agree - even in the UK, Eddie Hearns is bringing boxing back with Matchroom Promotions and there deal with Sky Sports. Boxing is at a high at the moment

Agreed. PPV killed boxing in the states. It is time to undo the damage.

Actually, the back and forth mil ppv's that Floyd and Manny had going on was what brought it back. It has also opened eyes to the lower and weights and brought the fixation away from the horrid heavy weight division that has killed boxing. When there is no heavy weight champ worth mentioning in terms of excitement, then boxing was ignored. UFC also helped bring people's attention back to combat sports, now all we need, is for the attention to stay with the lower weights and we're in serious business.

It was never gone, Oscar was breaking records back before Pac and Floyd really got going. Those lower weight classes were alot bettter in 90s early 2000s

In terms of business, one ppv star doing about a mil at an average of about 8 months is not better than two doing over a mil at an average of about 4 months. (Floyd one fight and Pac two) You may have liked the lowers better back then, but business was definitely not better. It all goes hand in hand with the boxing uptick.

In the 90s the lower divisions were fine

    Roy
    Sweet pea
    Oscar
    Hamed

    Much better times

Imagine the money generated if those fighters like oscar were fighting now! Floyd would not be the PPV king, I will tell you that is for sure. He would be on the undercards to a Oscar, Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr fight.
