Well, he doesn't have 1% of the athletic talent or ring IQ, but Benmakhlouf showed 100% more heart than his countryman Herelius did yesterday. :conf

This is one Frenchman who disproves the "no heart" stereotype. (while fully embodying the "always losing" stereotype :yep)

 

Roy is arguably the most comfortable fighter active working off the ropes, besides maybe Floyd.

Still, even now. Benmakhlouf is, while limited, a massive dude and strong fit natural cruiser - yet when he put Jones on the ropes the look on his face was "Yep...another day @ the office " - which is really what that spot is for him.

The Russian interviewer asks Jones how this feels. Dream come true. He asks why he couldn't get a knockout. Jones says Benmakhlouf has a very hard head and he took all his best and he knew he could take it easy showing off combinations to entertain the fans without overdoing it and punching himself out trying for an unlikely stoppage.

Jones is willing to go anywhere in the world for the next challenge to defend his new belt. :-(
