Chudinov is putting in jabs and 1-2s in the pocket, moving his head and window-wiping with his arms to screen out Novoa's jabs. All of Novoa's power attempts come to the body and Chudinov is hopping out of the way of them before darting in with 1-2s on the brow and chopping right hands further up on Novoa's head. Wild uppercuts moving forward by Novoa, missing as Chudinov backs up and moves laterally. Body hooks by Chudinov. Novoa steps in and digs his own hook on Chudinov's hip. BIG combo by Chudinov, left uppercut and chopping right while backing up. Novoa is hurt. Chudinov hammers down on him as Novoa bends forward and wraps his head in his arms, looking ready to fall. The bell sounds.

Round 6

Chudinov lands a huge clubbing right and Novoa is hurt, trying to lean in and tie up. Chudinov won't let him. Big left hooks and thudding right hands on the face by Chudinov. Novoa is wilting but refuses to go down. HUGE slapping left hook by Chudinov turns Novoa's face ninety degrees in a nanosecond but he stays up. Chudinov begins to creep forward with the jab trickling out in between Novoa's ever loosening guard. Novoa is flopping to either side, buying himself time as he circles out wide around Chudinov and spears out desperate jabs at Chudinov's eye and the vicinity of his cut. Wild jab by Novoa coming up from a low duck, slipped over the right shoulder of Chudinov as he dips forward. BIG RIGHT HAND by Chudinov putting Novoa on the ropes. BIG CHOPPING RIGHT as Novoa steps forward looking to clasp onto Chudinov and hold. No luck. More chopping rights and that is that.

Novoa did show real grit in the fifth and sixth. I don't know what kept him up at times.
