They wont get as big a fee, thus the motive behind ranking pac #1 after beating a guy who hadnt done anything at the weight.

Really? Why did DLH leave also?

When do people stop and ask themselves why the 2 highest paid boxers of all time were with Arum and then Left on bad terms and currently dont want to work with him?

I don't think they made Pacquiao his mandatory to get fees, they could have done so in 2011 if that was the case. In my opinion, they made him the mandatory in an attempt to make a fight everyone has been begging for since 2009.

If he wanted nothing to do with Arum why did offer Pacquiao $40 million with 100% of the PPV earnings to him in a private phone call between the two which he initiated?. I do agree that Arum wouldn't want to negotiate with Mayweather just as much as Mayweather doesn't want to with him, this has been obvious for a long time.

GBP and TOP RANK has made countless fights over the years. One notable fight was between GB's very own founder and creator Oscar De La Hoya going against Pacquiao. That was a fight where Arum risked the biggest name on his roster going against his long time rival De La Hoya in a fight where Pacquiao had to move up two weight divisions and was a serious underdog. Not to forget fights like Pacquiao vs Hatton, Pacquiao vs Marquez and many other fights that didn't even involve Pacquiao.

The reason why when other fights don't get made no one complains yet when Mayweather is involved everyone wakes up is because of Mayweather's obvious popularity and who he's supposed to fight. When someone is that famous you ought to expect a lot of public attention/barking when something doesn't go the famous fighter's way. The reason why everyone is outraged by this is because Pacquiao vs Mayweather could have been(and might still be) the biggest fight in boxing history in terms of competitiveness, serious money and general attention.

He hasn't vacated the title. Why don't all of you make an "I hate Mayweather" thread so we can keep all the BS in one place.

    50 says its a duck
Floyds own daddy says he won't let manny beat up his son
    Oscar says floyd ducked

I don't understand why he would drop the belt given the fact that Arum and Pacquiao aren't even considering a fight with his at this point. I guess he's just sending a message to the WBC that they don't dictate **** to him, but seriously there was nothing to suggest Pacquiao was going to use his mandatory status to push for this fight to happen. Arum laid out his three options and Mayweather wasn't one of them. :think

You tell me, must have been some very serious events for Floyd to turn down the biggest payday he will ever have.

I wouldn't blame the sport for Mayweather's approach within the sport itself. He's being managed to carefully pick who he feels suits him best. As long as the public are tuning in and buying there's nothing that could be done. I still can't believe that there were people that honestly thought Ortiz and Guerrero were solid opponents. I've been a Mayweather fan since 2003 and still am but seriously those two fights were comical to me as soon as they were signed/announced.

Why take one major payday when he can make more paydays fighting whoever he wants?, it's a business you know and Mayweather treats it that way 110%.

You do understand that the pie gets significantly smaller after Arum takes his piece, right? You do understand that Mayweather pays Golden Boy much less than Top Rank boxers pay Top Rank right? Floyd made much more in the Canelo fight than he would against Pacquiao with Arum fully involved.

What if every fighter that approach? If you want to re-frame ducking other fighters as being a smart business move thats fine, but lets not pretend Floyd isn't swerving Pac.
