Not that big. He fights on a somewhat obscure channel 'Channel 5' which only launched during the late 90's that specializes in showing dodgy 'erotica' or Van Damne/Steven Seagal films during primetime. With a huge fight he may get a Sky Sports box office fight in the future though. He doesn't. I've been to his fights in person and seen him fail to even half full small venues. His biggest turn out was probably against Rogan due to the vast majority of the fans there to support Rogan. That was around 5'000 capacity.
Pulev was supposed to fight Fury months prior to the Thompson fight. If that had of happened then you'd have to think Wlad vs Pulev/Fury would have been set for Feb. Waldo did talk about wanting to fight then at the latest. True but he certainly doesn't have the right to now cry about not being able to get a shot at Klitschko when it was handed to him on a plate with 25% of the purse should he beat Pulev.
Whats stopping him fighting Pulev in Feb? As i said he has the ranking to deserve a shot. Mando is not an excuse. Bostov and Leapai had no significant rankin. Bostov pulled out against Fury yet he was to be made mado.
even if Fury became mandatory by beating Pulev, the way Wlad picks and chooses would mean it might still be another 2 years till Fury gets a title shot if Wlad hasn't retired by then.
**** on Tyson Fury. My last sighting of him was when he was dropped hard by a featherfisted ex-cruiserweight, so until he does something of merit he needs to stop this british tradition of calling out the heavyweight champ before you've earned your shot. Hell, Why don't you fight Wilder for the #3 spot in the WBC Tyson, and then IF you win then you can challenge the winner of Arreola/Stiverne for the full title. Afterall, Wlad's gone on record as saying he wants ALL the belts now that Vitaly is gone and if you're holding the WBC belt then you'll get your shot and a better peice of the purse in a unification bout. However, you have to beat both Wilder and Stiverne/Arreola and neither I nor You think you can do it. You're just trying to get a payday.
atschatsch Fury says he wants it, but his management says not yet... all year... maybe now they are saying something different for 2014... but 2013 it was "not yet":deal
Fury says Wlad was wobbled by Wach...Wach is a giant with a heavy right hand and although he got Wlad's attention with that shot he never wobbled him. Fury on the other hand was put on his arse by Pajkic and Cunningham! People in glass houses...
I don't understand.. Had he beat Pulev he would have earned 50k and a shot of Wlad. Had he beat Haye he would have earned a couple million and everyone would be screaming Fury vs Klitschko
