    :good

Whenever Wlad has struggled even slightly it's been with top five heavyweights (Vetyaz, Iggy, Chag) or guys who maybe weren't top five at the time but were definitely top fifteen and awkward stylistic match-ups for Wlad (Chambers, Thompson x2).

Tyson on the other hand has struggled with and been severely rocked by the likes of Neven Pajkic, Nicolai Firtha, and tiny old USS Cunningham - suffering a knockdown and needing a bevy of blatant yet unpunished rabbit punches to overcome.

Tyson is not a good fighter, or hasn't shown it yet.

though to be fair, wlad has rarely shown he is a very good fighter, if ever, hes merely peaked at good.

Chagg caused Wlad no problems at all. Peter almost had him out and Fury would wipe the floor with Peter.
Its all good saying Wlad would blow through him. Let him actually prove it because Wlad aint ever fought a guy like Fury.

Yeah, of the five names I mentioned Chagaev caused the least headache by far and never took a round - but considering he was floored in the 2nd he proved more difficult than usual for Klitschko to dispose of and was probably the most arduous victory after them (and Peter; see below). Gamer opponent than Mormeck/Wach/Pianeta/Rahman/Brewster/Austin/Brock/Byrd or even Haye. (as Chagaev at least tried getting close and mounting offense, whereas Haye went the aversion route taking no chances and not having to exit on his shield as Chag did)

...and I somehow blanked on Peter, yeah, he's up there, especially in their first meeting - and no, current Fury would have his clock cleaned by prime Peter. :good

This thread is pretty idiotic. Until a few weeks ago Fury was engaged to fight Haye and not available as an opponent for Klitschko. In that period of time, Wlad signed on to fight his mando like he has to if he wants to keep the belt. Fury only became available after Wlad already had an opponent scheduled. The fight can happen later in 2014 if both men keep winning.

Are you kidding? Fury was in trouble against Cunningham. Prime Sam Peter would be a nightmare for Fury. This is ridiculous. A few months ago you were so sure Povetkin would beat Wlad yet he had nothing. Aren't you tired of being wrong yet?

Lots of guys hit the canvas and got straight back up to clear them out. Who has Sam Peter ever been a nightmare for besides Wladimir?

Wlad was unable to box Povetkin. It should of been ruled a no contest.

    Povetkin would render Fury unconscious.

Its possible Fury could win if he does nothing but foul , mug , bear hug and jump all over his back for 12 rounds straight.

Come on. It wasn't just a case of a flash kd for Fury. He was being outboxed thoroughly and had to employ all those illegal tactics that you so deplore in Wlad. If anything, Fury vs. Cunningham should have been declared a NC. Peter beat Maskaev, Toney x2 and McCline - that's better fighters than Fury has even fought.

How hard is it to outbox a guy who had is hands down and acting the clown? Fury didn't take that fight seriously at all and still stopped him for the first time in his career.

Toney was a blown up middleweight, took Peter though 24 full rounds and arguably won the first 12.
Peter's was a no talent bum who couldn't fight past 4 rounds. Even Chisora would beat him.

Well those are all in his repertoire but even the few grazing shots Povetkin was able to sneak in on Wlad would've shattered Fury's even more fragile glass. :hi:

Fury isn't just acting like a clown - that is who he is :nono

I like him - he's good for boxing - but I can't believe you are acting like a raw guy like him whose best win is against a fat Chisora is going to be a challenge to Wlad. Like I said, Peter had a much better resumé - he beat no great fighters but at least he beat actual titleholders and contenders. Fury may in time top what Peter has done - but he's far from doing so atm.

Wlad has been knocked out, wobbled by jabs, wobbled by non punchers and was down a lot more time's than Fury.

As it stands Furys chin is a grey area. Glass chins don't get back up to win by ko. Stats state Wlad has the weaker chin.
