Is it so unlrealistic? If not win, actually make a fight of it and test Wlad's mettle?

Don't forget that he did at least equal Vitali's win against Chisora, at a stage when Fury was a barely known quantity, and not even in the best shape himself.
I'm not saying Fury is some kind of monster, but he keeps winning and is a guy who fights with heart and tenacity. He's entertaining and that's what the division is crying for.
Yes, he has been knocked down, but he got up to win both fights by stoppage, and he didn't turn gun shy when knocked down either. He fought back.
He now know what it's like being down and he knows he can get back up and win. Chalk it down to a learning experience.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that Haye pulled out of the fight on purpose. Fury said he would and that's what happened.

I watched the press conference for the fight very carefully, and Fury showed Haye not the slightest bit of respect. Haye started out all confident, but you could see him becoming more and more deflated and unsure of himself as the conference went on. Fury dominated the normally slick-talking Haye and left him sitting there speechless.
Fighters aren't stupid; they sense things on a level fans don't.
Now I hear that the career-threatening injury may not be so bad, and that Haye might return to the ring next year.
Was Haye not so sure of his chances against Fury after all?

Granted, Wlad is not Haye. He is a better fighter of course and much more experienced than Fury at world title level. That said, he was awful against Povetkin, and I'm not even talking about the clinching and mauling. His accuracy was unimpressive and he landed very few clean and telling punches during the contest.
Fury is not going to be outsized against Wlad; the opposite in fact. Can Wlad effectively fight him the same way he fought Povetkin? Maybe it's Wlad that might be mauled and leaned on in close?
We must remember that Wlad is not getting any younger either. He cannot continue indefinitely and Fury is much younger and also bigger.

What I want to see is a good, hard competitive fight for the world title, that's all. I'm tired of feeling underwhelmed or flat out disappointed each time Wlad fights. It's about time we had something to really talk about in this division and who knows, maybe Fury is that guy to make Wlad actually fight for once.
If you're a boxing fan, how can you not want that?

Yes, titles shots ARE handed out like sweets.

What did Marius Wach do to deserve a shot at Wlad's belts?

What did Francesco Pianeta do to deserve a shot?

I could continue forever. Wlad cleary wants to continue his steady diet of bums, plus the occasional overhyped sensation thrown in for good measure.

But to be clear, the hypetrain is going with Fury now? He will be the next guy that definetly will beat Wlad? I think I have heard that before...

Fury has one advantage, he is taller, other than that he have nothing other to bother Wlad. So if they meet in the ring, Wlad KO by **** without penetration

when was the last time fury fought? :huh

Should have never wasted his time with Haye.

He had a chance to fight and be Wlad's Mandatory and didn't want to do it.

BS Wlad has been fight bums for years . Fury has done a lot more to earn a shot than damn Wach , Mormeck and Pianeta. You *******s just want to see Wlad in safe fights. You guys love Wlad in a racist gay way. The same SOB's saying Fury should get in line is the same people saying Boystov should get a title shot without beating no one. Boystov got exposed for the bum he always has been.

You little racist pig you. Why the hell would Fury want to fight soft punching Pulev for **** money when he could fight Haye for big money? And being Wlad's mandatory don't mean **** anyway. Wlad hand picks his fights and he controls who is rated anyway. Lets be honest here Wlad would clinch and grab Pulev for 12 boring ass rounds

Wlad vs Fury would look like Wlad vs Wach , but the fight would end inside 4-5 rounds . Wlad by TKO.

Hey, I'm not saying they shouldn't fight. I'm just saying that hyping Fury up as the man to beat Wlad is madness and that to claim that Wlad is ducking him out of fear is ridiculous. If you've actually watched Fury vs. Chisora you will know that Chisora turned up in truly horrible shape that night. Fury still deserves credit for the win - but the fact remains that he has never fought a top opponent and has had serious trouble with some of the lower level guys he has been in with. You don't get credit for dominating press conferences with me.

Fury had the chance to fight Pulev for the mandatory, but turned it down. Fury has nobody to blame but himself. Vlad has two mandatories, Leapai, and Pulev. Let Fury fight his way up the ladder or cheat like Wilder who has never fought a ranked fighter and was simply given the #3 WBC for doing absolutely nothing..........

Vlad will knock Fury out if they ever fight..............

You could continue forever, yes, at showing your bias against the champ and ignorance of the sport. Pianeta wasn't a title defense, but a voluntary one, ignorant.

And talking about unearded rankings, what about Deontay Wilder, number 3 according to the We Be Crooks sanctioning body without having ever faced anyone worth of note?
Those things happens every day in boxing.
Wladimir Klitschko is not perfect, but surely a thing that cannot be said is that he ducked anybody. And that's a huge thing, considering that every boxer ducks somebody, sooner or later.
