Paul Williams does not deserve to be mentioned as a candidate. Not even close to a challenge

Floyd never fought anyone with more than a 1" reach advantage. Williams would have 7" in reach. Turning your shoulder up against a man with 7" in reach isn't going to save you, especially with the huge output of Williams.

Yeah. Floyd ilkes to fight with distance. Williams would completely neutralize this.

Lennox Lewis never fought a southpaw which must mean Audley Harrison demolishes him

The difference is Lennox hasn't been ducking southpaws the way Floyd ducked fighters with significant reach advantages. Floyd retired to avoid Williams, refused to fight Martinez, and won't fight Lara (even though he just beat the opponent Canelo did to get the Mayweather fight, and much more convincingly it must be said), all of whom have a reach advantage Floyd is uncomfortable with (3 inches or more).

It's interesting you bring up the southpaw angle, because all the fighters mentioned are southpaws. Perhaps Floyd recognises he won't be able to keep his 0 against the southpaw-reach advantage opponent.

Got completely outboxed by carlos ****ing quintana. And paul never used his height he always gave it up. Just being tall isnt going to cut it, there is a vast skill gap here, he'd get countered to hell.

Thurman would be a problem at 147
Matthysse would be a problem at 140-144

I think porters pressure could also be a problem

Those are the only real threats according to styles IMO

you do realize Paul only had 5 amateur fights and his only asset at 147 is that he was 6'2 and really busy fighter.. But his boxing skill where not on par with Floyd nor did he ever call Floyd out, or got in line to challenge him.

Refused to fight Martinez yet martinez is at 160:-(

with out a right hand Oscar still gets beat by Floyd which is why Floyd has alway wanted to fight Oscar even when he was at 135.

Oscar only weapon is his left hook he has no power in his right hand, and Floyd has shown that he can completely nullify the left hook even from the most strongest left hookers.

Paul only every lost to southpaws. Floyd relies on not getting hit and landing a few clean but not especially hard punch a round. You're not getting away from a guy with arms that long and with that high an output. Floyd knew Paul would be a nightmare to fight which is why he retired.
