    Klitschko by KO

Sports changed a lot in 100yrs, and Louis is behind in training technique, nutrition, analysis, preperation, etc.

Taking things into consideration Louis is age4age, and p4p a better fighter, but time travel Joe Louis into today, and he get brutally KO'd.

Same way in football the great Brazilian teams of the 60's would be annihilated against modern teams.

Louis isn't as great H2H as he is resume, but he takes this fight in a dramatic difference of size.

At the same time, if we're picking a HW in a H2H scenario from one particular fight, I don't know of any that beats the Joe Louis that destroyed Schmeling.

Joe Louis is the greatest or second greatest heavyweight of all time, but I don't think he'd last 10 rounds with Wlad.

Vlad would knock Louis out in a mismatch. Carnera was 6 feet 5 inches tall, Vlad is 6 feet 7 inches tall, but Vlad has lots of skill, huge power, great defense, Carnera has none of that. Marciano knocked Louis out and he was only 185 lbs.............

Fat Drunk Tony "Two Ton" Galento floored Louis... One of the biggest problems with many boxing fans is that they wear rose colored glasses and think the guys from the past will almost always beat the stars of today. It's ridiculous... Wlad would pummel and stop the much smaller Louis.... come on people, stop it with this nonsense.

Really? Comparing freakshow Primo Carnera to Wlad is pretty laughable! He was utter trash, and many of his fights were fixed by the mob.

the speed at which Joe would hit Vlad would be compared to FMJ hitting gatti.

Vlad would look every bit a slow a Primo.

Rose colored glasses will never change the speed at which Joe hit his opponents.
He would also not allow Vlad to clinch like all his other opponents (minus Brewster, purity, and the late Corey Saunders). unfortunately those subtleties are lost in the poor footage from the past

Wait, a fighter from the past?

No one can beat a fighter from the past, so why make a thread about it? Louis would tap Wlad with the edge of his glove and knock his head clean off.

Forget all his losses, and the dozens of losses from the guys who beat him, Louis was superhuman and the guys who beat him only did so because they were also superhuman and they would also KO Wlad with a simple tap of the glove.

primo does actually look a lot like wlad, only his reign as champion was short due to higher competition.

but lets no unduly knock big Carnera, a huge dangerous guy with a jab and back off/wrestle style that was the undoing of many, he was a fearsome handful.

You cannot compare Carnera to Wladimir. Carnera was slower, did not hit as hard, was not as fluid or skilled. Why don't you pull up the footage of Max Baer bouncing Carnera around like a ragdoll, or would that blow a massive hole in your argument?

Wlad is not Carnera! Jesus christ Primo was a bum, slow with no defense, Wlad outweighs Louis by 50lb he jabs Joe to submission. People really need to stop this bull**** about old fighters,If Louis fought in the 90s he wouldn't be a top 10 heavyweight Wlad easily does. Really we should talk about Louis in terms of modern day cruiser weights, or even LHW. To many old time bullshitters in boxing today, how all past fighters are beasts and boxers today aren't half as good ect. Louis doesn't go 9 rounds with either Klitschko and takes a bad beating however long he goes.
