Booth is not currently very well liked by many inside Boxing... trust me on this one... cannot say too much more. Lets just say he really, really, really rates himself these days... before it was all an the act of a poor man trying to make it. Now it's a rich man with an ego that is killing his respect in the game. I understand Haye is not as friendly with him anymore.
Not so sure about that one. I was at the Froch Groves card, was sat near where the fighters were making there entrance. Booth walked past, in a bit of a rush heading towards the ring I shouted him he turned round but obviously needed to sort out whatever he was doing (Andy Lee hadn't fought yet). About 15/20 minutes later, he made his way over to where I shouted and asked who shouted him... we then had a quick chat and grabbed a photo. Many wouldn't have done that so he seems a top man if you ask me. He might have split with Groves for whatever reason but from what we seen at the Froch/Groves bill they still spoke, hugged etc after and it's been made clear there still friendly on a personal basis just not on working terms. Did you see the clip of him while the fight was going on? Every shot groves was throwing, booth was throwing with him.
Spill the beans... Booth seem's like a top bloke. Sharpest man in British Boxing by a country mile, IMO.
Price isn't a joke. He's been managed poorly, blowing people away then being stepped up into a fight with a guy who has only "really" been defeated by Wlad bar a pts loss early on his career. The jump was too big, he should have been managed so that with each fight he was gradual stepping it up and therefore improving more & more as a fighter. His power is enough to give any HW something to think about, if he can get his head screwed back on, dedicate himself and have the Sauerlands manage him correctly he can carve out a decent career for himself.
Agree between Maloney and Franny Smith they screwed Price's career through bad management and training. Hopefully The Sauerlands can get him back on track. I wish him well...
He is not quite Fraudley league yet, but he has to make some major major improvements if he wants to mix it at world level. Also this sh@t that booth is some tactical wizard is total bollox, an urban myth
I like Price but he really needs to get his act together- get a trainer and keep busy (4 fights a year minimum).
Good move this- where is Brooks based now? Price needs some type of sports psychologist on board as well I feel.
I haven't got anything against price but I am really not hopeful he can win a world title. Id pick Fury and Chisora to beat him quite handily at the moment.
Contrary to very inaccurate reporting, my decision to stop working with David Price had nothing to do with @SauerlandBros As for Price working with Brooks. When i see ''he will come over for camps''. I see another Khan like issue. Price needs more then camps to develop he's a long term project and his frailties won't be fixed in 6-8 weeks at a time. Price will get beaten pretty soon, Brooks already struggled with Jefferies and i see the same happening with Price. Not as dedicated to his craft as i think many would of hoped and liked.
"I know I've made the right choice," said Price. "I know this move will take me to that next level." This was just over two months ago. Shows how clueless he is.
