compared to what? ottke's hometown decisions
if that's your excuse for why they never fought the big boys then you're in denial

For me, it's a mix of Wlad's boring style and their racist nuthuggers.

They also class Vitali beating Wlads conquerors Puritty and Sanders and Wlad beating Vitali conqueror Bryd as avenging losses.

Many people were disappointed in Wlad's performance against Povetkin, myself included. I'd never seen him hold so much.

However, I enjoyed the way he fought against most of his past opponents: Wach, Byrd, Austin, Brock, Chagaev, etc.

But we're not talking about fair criticism here. The thread asks "why the Klitschkos are unappreciated?"

In other words, why are they not respected no matter what they do? The unjustified, obsessive hatred some people have for both Klitschkos is based on nationalism and racism.

They fight nothing alike. Not sure why you'd clump them up together. Wlad isn't appreciated for the same reasons Rigo lost his place on HBO. Vitali's resume is too irrelevant for anyone too care.

Most of the racism comes from the Klitschko fans. I already exposed you as a racist on BoxingAsylum.

So anybody not a fan of Wlad is a 'racist' ?

What had the colour of his skin got to do with anything when everybody got up and left MSG when he fought Iggy?

    Why wasn't Golota hated?

Why doesn't everybody hate Kovalev, Provo or GGG?

"Lack of quality heavyweights"? Please, save that for some other occasion.

Klitschkos are generally appreciated in Europe. They are the biggest stars in boxing over here so I doubt they could ask for more. As for the US, well, what can they do?

No. But his most obsessive haters are.
No. But it might have something to do with people repeatedly bringing that fight up years later.
He was for awhile. But they stopped hating him after he was KOed by Lennox and Tyson, because he was no longer seen as a threat.
They do. I've noticed the same people that hate the Klitschkos, also hate Calzaghe, Lomachenko and Kovalev.

And they don't hate GGG, Pacquiao and Provo quite as much, but they are not fans of them either.

Both Klitschkos also have very high KO percentages. I've never seen you post anything positive about Kovalev or any other white boxer.

Golovkin has an 89% KO ratio. Kovalev also has a high KO ratio.

Wlad gets flak because he's a HW. He's supposed to be the best of the best. And yet in his last fight he hugged more than a Care Bear.

    Good point
At least HE (Golota) had the decency to lose. But a decade of dominance, now, that's unacceptable :nono

    :hi: Klitschko haters

I see no hate for Provo,GGG or Kovalev.

They are all headline acts on HBO.

You watch Provo fight then compare him to how Wlad fights and there is your real answer.

To be fair, Golota was exciting in a train wreck sort of way.
